It's deviantART's eighth birthday and as such, your
Traditional Art Gallery Directors want you involved!
Paint by Numerology: No. 8
According to some theories, the number eight defines
Sacrifice and Power. The Traditional Team wants to challenge you to create (using any traditional media you see fit) something that represents what that means to you.
From Wikipedia:
Numerology is any of many systems, traditions or beliefs in a mystical or esoteric relationship between numbers and physical objects or living things.
Numerology and numerological divination were popular among early mathematicians, such as Pythagoras, but are no longer considered part of mathematics and are regarded as pseudomathematics by most modern scientists. This is similar to the historical development of astronomy out of astrology, and chemistry from alchemy. What is Sacrifice?
What is Power?
We all have our own definitions - it's time to show that to the world.

Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark.
