Petition to the administration of deviantArt.

*winklepickers:iconwinklepickers: reports, 1d 10h ago
A petition to make comments and faves lists easier and quicker to use. It would be optional if the administration agrees.
The more signatures there are the better chance we have of being satisfied.
Thank you. :)

Windows PowerPro

~----josh----:icon----josh----: reports, August 25, 2001
Windows PowerPro for Windows 95/98/NT/2000 is an awesome, yet strangely little known application.
I have been using it for a couple of years now, and the only bad thing I can say about it is this:

Once you get a handle on how it works, pretty much all other "Desktop Enhancement" apps will become obsolete.

Its functionalities include (but are not limited to)...

- Change wallpapers, sound schemes, screensavers at predefined intervals.
- Create your own custom pop-up menus (skinnable too BTW...)
- Set timers for events to occur.
- Use sticky notes
- Create and manage up to 9 virtual desktops.
- Perform complex scripts.
- View resource usage (CPU, Bandwidth, swapfile, virtual memory, and more)
- Setup Hotkeys to launch applications, websites, predefined functions, etc.
- Multiple Clipboards
- Key-logging

etc etc etc.

It takes a bit of getting used to, because there are so many options. You have to pretty much create everything from scratch (there are a few sample things to get you happening.)

So if you want to try this app out, ensure you have a day free to get your head around it, but once you do, you wont look back...

Have Fun

Sounds like it should work for Me, dude -- it works with 95 and 98. Am I sadly mistaken...?!

From what you've said, this should be VERY cool...

whoa, that *does* sound cool... i might give it a shot. although, i'm inclined to stick with my acdsee, microangelo, tclock combo. it's resource friendly. ;) (Wink)

Personally... I just dumped windowblinds, and am just using flatout windows 95 now. Oh, and I REALLY HATE liteSTEP because even though it comes with an uninstaller, you still have to go and re-write your system.ini file so you don't have to reinstall windows. Personally... I don't think that it's worth all that trouble just to make your compuer look different... you want that... just get a Mac. I'll probably try this proggie, but I'm not sure that windows 95 can even make good use of half of them... I mean... 9 virtual desktops? I can't even manage 2 running hoverdesk... don't think that it'll be a big hit with us '95 users.

Its a nice program apart from when it pissed me off when I accedently clicked on the icon for it (clicking on the icon shuts the computer down) while i was halfway through a image.
