The Birthday:

Well, you should already know Fella turns 8 on August 7th! That means we need to celebrate it, and why not with an awesome contest to keep you busy and have fun during your summer holidays?

We were thinking about it, and... we're going to be creative with our anthropomorphic creatures, setting a contest based on the Number 8 in Anthro Art... is this a hint good enough for you?

The Rules:

1. Each artist can submit one or more pieces to the contest, there is not a limit so be creative! However, you can't get more than a prize, don't be greedy..... ;]
2. The entry needs to be related to this celebration, and feature at least one species usually running on 8 legs, but don't limit your imagination to just spiders or octopusses... we want you to be creative when entering this contest and not only think about those. There is lots of 8 legged things in nature and also think out of the box. Just do it using digital art, traditional art, or mixed media. You don't need to include Fella in the picture, but that's for sure a plus!
3. Since it's a contest the Anthro Gallery runs to give Fella some birthday gifts, only Anthro Art following the Anthro Gallery guidelines can be accepted.
4. Even if everything is suitable, as long as you follow deviantART policies, we encourage you to keep the picture in a non-too-mature rating, so more people can see and enjoy it. Of course, tasteful nudity is accepted also.
5. All entries must be new deviations, not uploaded before. The contest starts tomorrow (August 7th), and the deadline to submit your entries is September 21th. So you have 6 weeks to do your homework!
6. Your submissions need to be uploaded to the specific contest category in Community Projects - Contests - 2008 - deviantART 8th birthday - 8 Legs. If any doubts, note me for more info.
7. Stocks and other resources must be credited even if you used your own or if the stock provider didn’t specify he had to be credited.
8. Please write something about the contest and greet Fella for his birthday. It will surely help you to catch judges' attention.
