A month is left for posting an entry in this Winter Contest. But...It's Christmas and we're all most generous so, take a look! We have more than 6 prizes for every winner! :3 Enjoy!
prizes include tons of features, interviews, and SUBSCRIPTIONS!! This contest is open to photography only sorry guys ... check it out, the deadline is in February!
~Faux-Pseudo wins a copy of the Dark Domain DVD and a bonus DVD also somewhat related to the artscene! He is not a very well-known artist on DA, but he is an active poster on alt.ascii-art.
If you wonder about some of the placements, we stressed originality/creativity as one of the judging criteria, as per the original contest announcement.
3rd place! Actually means a lot to me, since I tend not to win when it comes to contests. All the pieces submitted were well done, judging must have been tough. Congrats to 2nd and 1st place! (I'm jealous of your new dvd there, mister Faux-Pseudo. )
It feels good to have won with that piece. When the announcement said originality was a factor I thought for some time about breaking out of my normal styles and doing something very different as apposed to the Fem Warrior which is more traditionally my style. I almost broke my brain trying to figure out how to not repeat something I had done before.
Those other pieces are big and nice. I almost submitted a small 10x10 drawing just in case the other entries were on the small side but decided to go big and bold instead.
Interesting.. Congratulation to the winner. My pick would have been the "Fem Warrior" [link] which is by coincidence also an ASCII by the same artist who created the second ASCII that you picked as winner for the contest hehe
2nd place!!, wow...thanks for everybody, (including diamondie, of course), the only thing I regrte is that this may be the last contribution to ASCII/ANSI art(in terms of contests and related stuff).
but im sure that ASCII/ANSI art will not dissapear as long as we show what we can do with it, and this contest is a boost to keep doodl'n!!.
My congratulations to mr Faux-Pseudo(I wiIsh I could have abit of his skill) to ansi 86, to the other contestants for having the motivation and the cool ideas, and finally(but not least), to diamondie, for making by her own this contest.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
