Loving DAY? What's that??

This contest was organized for the dA Loving Day 2008. Here you'll find a journal entry where all sub-contests and events will be gathered.

According to the creator of this loving-day movement, `karemelancholia, dA Loving Day is a symbolic day during which we show what we can make to help a person.
That can be made in various ways and not only on dA but in daily life. To help a person to cross the street or to help financially or voluntarily a cause… That can be a smile, a given shoulder, a helping hand; the important is to be here for the person who needs it.
Here is the spirit of this day!

What About Love?

Love can take many forms, sizes and shapes. What is love to you?

According to This Really LONG Wikipedia article, Love represents a range of emotions and experiences related to the senses of affection and sexual attraction. The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure to intense interpersonal attraction. This diversity of meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.

As an abstract concept love usually refers to a strong, ineffable feeling towards another person. Even this limited conception of love, however, encompasses a wealth of different feelings, from the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love to the nonsexual. Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.

This contest is asking you to make an artistic nude (photography only) piece in which you express and/or represent LOVE; in which we can see a depiction of LOVE - in any of its forms...

Don't worry, we're not after your copyrights, this just means that you, the deviant give permission to the coordinators of this event to use the images: for the contest entered, for the event itself as a spotlight for example, etc. It's also a sign that the creation has been made especially for this event. Only Photography is allowed in this contest. No manipulations. Only minor/ standard edits ( such as level, curve, color adjustments etc. )

Only photos that would normally belong in the Artistic Nude Gallery are allowed and must comply with the Theme of the contest: LOVE. Spell it: L-O-V-E! Quick, now spell it like you meant it!!!

All submissions must be acceptable under dA's guidelines.

And yes, you can use an old picture BUT ONLY IF it matches the theme (LOVE).
This happens so because the theme may have been already exploited with success by a deviant since it is very popular AND (mainly) because the due date is so close ("mini-contest" bit, hello? *giggles*), and I repeat: day 20 of August - yes, this month!!!
