reports, August 9, 2008Oooh boy am I excited. I have hired a radio stream for a month to give this idea a test trial, but what I propose is live readings.
I will set up a DA chat room, and we will go into them, and click a link to listen in to the reader at a scheduled time. The reader will read extracts of their work, or poems, and then when they are done reading, get feedback, comments or talk to the listeners.
Feel free to promote this in your journals and if anyone wants to read just send me a note stating what days are best for you, what time (in your timezone) and what time in GMT you would find best to read. I will try and fit as many artists in as possible! Remember you must have a microphone, a fairly fast internet connection and something to read.
Broadcasting will require you to download two free programs, called Winamp and Shoutcast. All readers will recieve a tutorial on how to set up before their due date.
The looovely ~RosetteCullen has claimed the debut night, brave lass, with her amazing Twilight fanfics she is one of my favourite DA writers, so hopefully you will all enjoy that and it will kick start a great project.
I am looking for administrators to help host these events within the text chatroom. Moderating chatters, making sure the reader is comfortable etc, please comment if you are available for say 7 events or more.
If its successful I might make it a more permenant DA feature, weeeeee!
