Yes, better late than never

Introduction:

The days before AnthroCon, I spent a few days with ~seel-dingo getting everything ready: We needed to compose all the portfolios we wanted to sell there (Seel's own art, My own portfolio, and our collaborations together) and then printed them at a local retailer. That didn't gave us too much free time, but at least I got to know the kind and friendly ~ZugieXIII and we all got to see "Kung Fu Panda" together, then felt the sudden need to taste some Chinese food and while we were eating, we were able to watch how the Spanish Soccer team beat Italy during the European Championship (go us!)

AnthroCon Day 0

To be able to enjoy every minute of the AnthroCon experience, we planned everything to arrive in Pittsburgh a day in advance. Fennec WolfFox was nice enough to share the trip with us so we used his car to do all the way from VA to PA. I wonder why did they trust me to drive the whole time when they knew I had a perma-lack of sleep, but we were safe and sound in the convention hotel at noon, yay for us! Still, our main group was still on their way to the city, so we needed to wait a bit at the Zoo, and see how other people were playing RockBand to enjoy their time there :] While that, I got a T-Mobile SIM card for my phone to be able to keep in touch with all my buddies, and also got to meet ~kahmari-dragon1 and =ivybeth ( ), *Derranged and *bonemutant (while searching for food), and a few more people whose nicknames I don't remember, sorry xD;;;

Later that day, the third member of our crazy crew arrived, the fearsome =ArbokCobra, and after some more hours, the other half: *LightningRyu, !Pr0stSh0cKeR, ~sapphire-kun and ~Bear-Clawed, them all coming from the far east (a.k.a. NYC), so the team was complete! The pre-set plan of having dinner all together failed for some unfortunate misunderstandings, but we all met at the hotel room and got our beauty rest to get ready the next morning

AnthroCon Day 1

Waking up early in the morning was never so easy! We needed to get our badges, and there in the waiting line I also met !zeriara, ~PandaDox and ~Spookaboo (Lol, Zer is so crazy, it's really fun to hang out with her) xD;;; and saw how she was requesting giftart to be drawn on her pants 83 Once we got our registrations completed, it was Zoo time again, so, after hunting for food, we enjoyed some time there and also got to meet more friends: ~FireLover343, ~kitty-chan, *Larathen, :dragon-chan: plus the chance to deal with Hida offline, finally, after knowing his character since ages ago :]

Zoo time was fun: I was able to see art-trades, Nintendo-DS pictochat battles, and even a sushi-race once we got to find an anonymous guy in that huge room just with little hints we was giving us with his DS Of course, we did it and we got our reward XD;;; OMG, sushi races, I bet you can't believe it if you don't see it yourself!

AnthroCon Day 2

This day were were up for serious business In order to get a table at the Artists Alley, we need to attend the tables lottery quite early, and so we did, still snoring and yawning x3;;; We all got a spot there ( ~seel-dingo, =ArbokCobra and me) and also were able to sit together, to share the fun :] Quite close to a few other artists I got to know, like *jasentamiia

Since we needed to attend our tables, we had not too much time to explore the Dealer's Room Everybody was all professional at the Artists Alley but me, and while they were doing cool trades and getting commissions.... I started to draw $1 badges xD;;; I know, I know, that's supposed to be Gideon's idea (as far as I know) but I bet I was not going to steal customers from his table, haha. Curiously, I made more money with those badges than with my portfolios or sketchbook commissions, people seemed to like them quite a lot o___O;; *blinks* Still, special thanks to ~kosmosforextreme because he bought my first print, and so I signed it on the back! 83~~

People I met that day was countless, and I can't thank them all enough for being so kind and nice with me to make my experience even more enjoyable :] I'd like to specially thank ~weredraggor for being a very nice customer and buddy those days, ~Dragonmaw for feeding us and giving us cool drinks when we were thirsty (something we rewarded adopting him in our group, lol), and *shrunkenone because he invited us to eat home-made style potatoes for lunch in a cool place near the hotel called "Steel City" Also, got to meet Jason, ~tamalero, ~maxblackrabbit and many, many people coming to the table to say hi ^^ I didn't know so many people there were going to know me or my name, I was really surprised!

Once the day ended, and after setting some bids in the Art Show auctions, we spent the rest of the night at the Zoo (more drawings, more talks, more crazy stuff, and more fun, including to meet *spunkywulf (OMG Jen, you're just adorable ), Jynx, SD, and many ones whose name or nickname was lost in my memory :]

AnthroCon Day 3

We applied for a spot at the Artist Alley and this time *LightningRyu and !Pr0stSh0cKeR joined us there, making it even funnier. ~kittiara was also there after arriving just the day before (OMG, I so missed you since last time!) and I gave her the badge I drew featuring her lovely character ^^ I sold a lot of the $1 badges this time (around 150, maybe?), and some portfolios/prints (Still dunno what to do with the unsold stuff, haha). I took a break before lunch time to take a look at other dealers there, and finally buy something with the money made there: I tried to find ~kamicheetah or *spunkywulf but no luck, the only buddy I got selling their stuff there were *JayAxer, ~FireLover343 and ~kitty-chan, and also ~Bear-Clawed and ~sapphire-kun. More deviants met that day were ~JohnStripedfur and of course ~Metal-Kitty, who got a seat aside me that day at the Artists Alley. 83

This day, time flied and we tried to set a plan to go somewhere in the evening with more people (movies, japanese food, whatever....) but it simply didn't work again (lol, evil fate) and we ended at Steel City again, getting some good food to charge our batteries :] The Zoo was, again, the place where we ended until really late at night. Another great point that night was to finally meet the awesome and fearsome ~TakShadoWing live!!!

AnthroCon Day 4

Auction Time! We didn't apply for a table this day so we were able to walk around, have fun and spend all our money and even more XD;;; I set some bids more at the Art Show, and even got a few of them (a wonderful original pic by ~sapphire-kun and also one by *lizardbeth ) I also tried to win Dreamsong but after a hard battle with ~Dragonmaw, first on the Art Show then later in the Live Voice Auction, I lost it ;3; *hangs head in shame, quite dissapointed* I also bought an original drawing by *JayAxer and got to see ~kamicheetah on duty finally! (and got her Art CD too) It was also time for the Fursuit Parade, and... omg, so many fursuits, it was awesome! :]

Post-AnthroCon Day: Epilogue

And then, the day after, everything needs to end. We said too many people "good bye" so that was quite sad and dissapointing, but, well, there will be more chances to meet them in the future. With Fennec again, we came back to VA that same day since I needed to take my plane back to Spain the day after. We were not able to do too much, since we all were both spent, dead tired, and already missing the cool people we met there Well, not bad for my first AnthroCon experience ever, let's see what does happen next time....!
