My name is Dan, a.k.a. *Hadarniel, and one day I had a question


Whatever happens to DD Suggestions that don't get featured?


And that question soon turned into a whole new desire to feature the hidden talents among deviantART. Because we put effort into a good DD suggestion, and because we believe the artist deserves the honor, since they put even more effort into their deviation.
Just because the suggestion we send does not get featured for some reason, it doesn't mean we should just forget about it.

Why 'Don't Decline'?

Well, just because a suggestion for a DD you made doesn't get featured as one doesn't mean that you should give up on it
Feature it with me, and let's help it and the artist get more recognition!


So that is the idea behind DD is for Don't Decline!, to bring to you what some of us consider great deviations in need of recognition


You can make a difference! Don't stop trying!
To this day I am the suggester of 18 Daily Deviations!
Take the opportunity to share a deviation you love with the entire community, and give the artist the recognition they are entitled to

Hilarious! LoZ: Mmm...Peanuts is a piece of fan art that brings forth two of the funniest things of the Zelda saga in a simple joke. Not to mention that *BechnoKid made use of a fan-derived style to create it. Clever, cute, and funny.

Rainbow AND Spiral, what else do you need? Though there's more to Prismatic Hypnotism than that. Colorwork and composition are great, but also texture and quality are performed in a neatly fashion. *genesis1979 didn't lose sight of any detail, it certainly is gorgeous everywhere you look at it!

It's a tremendous level of detail illustrated in Neverending Fight by *drachenmagier. Excellent posing and character expression for the suggested future events. Not to mention the alluring cool hues that the artist uses. It is a powerful deviation that should not be passed up.

lightbulb--blue tassel is a gorgeous ornament that is ecologically friendly. Putting a great use to an old item that has lost its former purpose, *dragonflymagic creates an elegant and lovely decoration with the use of commonly found materials. I'd love to decorate my Christmas tree with these!

Opposites Attract is an elegant wallpaper in which `Lovely-Demented does a wonderful use of color. The flow and contrasts are very appealing to the eye, and the composition of it makes for a great wallpaper. Certainly one of the best heart wallpapers around.

The piece absolutely blew me away the first time I saw! Forgetting for a second that it was made entirely with ballpoint - which is a feat in itself - I'd consider it a piece of rare quality. The artist has captured Drew in a very life-like and sensual manner, and he has managed to truly bring her to life on paper, with eyes and hair that will keep you in awe.

I'm no comic expert, not even amateur, but I have no doubts Don Juan -Comic- by ~AlexDP is a great strip! The drawing style is on its own very appealing; as the comic progresses, it can be seen just how skilled the artist is: great flow, excellent use of expressions, clever dialogue. I very rarely see fanart done from non-cult/blockbuster movies, and I think to mix realistic manga style with Klimt-esque influence is a particularly unusual combination for a piece of fan art! And I particularly love the preciseness and delicacy this artist puts on her linework and anatomy, they are typical of her great style.

Sadly, not all romances have happy endings, and such is the case of Love Story. Undoubtedly, *AngelicKitty89 has done a flawless depiction of such situation. However, as the view rises from the bottom, it may be suggested that there's always hope, that kind of light has to be a sign, and the colors are lovely anyways. A beautifully grieving moment.

Being able to recreate the world around us is one of many fractal artists' artistic goals, and ~George13 is quite skilled at it. In Childhood Memories, the viewer is taken in a trip to their past, with a gorgeous image resemblant of the open spaces we so longed for as kids. Quite the lovely imagery.

The beach is so beautiful at night, and even more in Cancer: Starlit Tides. This gorgeous fantasy portrait pictures a lovely scene with less saturated hues. The whole image appears full of life and emotion, it almost feels like the mind of both viewer and mermaid could empathize. =LinzArcher is a great artist, and this is one of her most beautiful pieces.

This drawing displays incredible skill in every single aspect: the composition is beautiful and well-thought out, the harmonious colours are skillfully painted, but what amazes me the most is the artist's talent with inking. It's astoundingly detailed, I love the way she represents things like the tree bark, the leaves, the feathers of the bird, the drapery; it all makes it reminiscent of 19th century children's books illustrations.

The Sorcerers: Fifth Logos by *MoonsongWolf is a fabulous piece full of both beauty and color. The shading is very smooth and complex and the style in which it was done is certainly one of my personal favorites. The history of this Manx tribe only adds to the beauty of the image.
