Even though most of my browsing on DA revolves around illustration and design, I do have one weakness that I cannot pass up... Pin-Up Photography. Pin-up used in the umbrella term including burlesque, vintage, retro, etc...

ANYWAY! To me, this style of modeling (a true art form IMO) has become somewhat forgotten in today's culture. By this I mean pin-up was the "dirty pictures" of eras long-gone and, compared to today's standards, you can expect to see more risque material in underwear ads.

That is the reason I have such respect for the retro-pin-up style. There is something incredibly classy about it. Unlike "modern pin-up" which usually includes a well-oiled, scantily clad (if clad at all), bleached blonde splayed over a car hood, this style kept the viewer in suspense and dealt with more "refined" audience (I use the term loosely, and I mean no offense to those of you who are blondes or enjoy the car-mag girls, HEH).

But here I have a small collection of some of the more fantastically captured pin-up photography I have come across on DA! The credit goes to these fine ladies and their photographers because they all have the taste and decency to embrace a truly forgotten art form.

I hope I have not forgotten anyone. I tried to find deviants who had a larger number of pin-up-esque images in their galleries, but if you feel you or someone you was left out and deserving, let me know and I will add them.
