You may be a very talented artist and on the other hand, you may not be, according to others. -_-'' You can fix that or put a band-aid on that and move on to the bigger and better aspects of becoming popular. I am not popular myself, so do not rely on this 100% Now to stop rambling...

1) When someone 's your work, go ahead and visit their page! But a nice, warm, "Thank you for the fav!" Would better your record. You don't ALWAYS have to say that, but if a person tool the time to view your picture and fav it, without a comment, that is a compliment. Sure, some people say comments are better than 's alone, so here and there be sure to leave a kind comment behind.

2) Work on your art skills: Sure, you may take so much time (and maybe even money) into your deviations and still go unnoticed. Take your time, and be CREATIVE. That's the key. Use some stock and recreate it into a masterpiece. Don't wait around and expect someone to just randomly come by, even if your work is good. PROMOTE YOURSELF. No by this, I don't mean rick-rolling, or putting unnecessary links on someone's userpage for them to come to your page. Sure they might. But maybe one link in your signature or just again, leave a kind comment on someone's work. Don't spam and put the SAME comment over and over unless you show that you mean it!

3)Check your punctuation, grammer, and spelling errors before you submit a comment! To me, if your English is not good, that is an exception. But try to work on it.

4) Be a friend: that's what you came onto DeviantART for. (Unless you are a spammer abusing the DA system >_> Come by to your friends' page and say hi or ask how their day is going. Maybe you can even leave a cyber-hug while you're at it. Be active and try to answer all of your comments if it is a reasonable amount of them. :T

5) If you have a conflict with a deviant, NOTE them about the situation. Sure, you may be mad and/or upset...but you're really not proving a thing. Leaving dirty comments behind on someone's page, whether or not it's on purpose, lowers you as a whole.

6) Come by a random deviants page, and watch people who you think deserves one more to brighten their day.
