DID YOU JUST SAY….FART? LOL WHUT?

Nature’s brand of humor- disturbing to some- yet irresistibly funny to others! Your opinion or not, let’s face a fact of life: Every Living Thing Farts. Except for plants. Because they have no butt hole.

Now before you start looking at us like we are immature and silly for doing this… Let’s take a look at the whole point of this contest.

Some people need to loosen up, and enjoy the bounties of classic comedy. And if you think Farts aren’t classic, then what the hell is the point of a Whoopee Cushion? Classic humor can be found in many cartoons and comic strips. It gave artists the opportunity to work with uncanny facial expressions and reactions. It also gave amateur doodlers in math class a chance to get back at their math teacher

Any way you look at it, awkward situations like a poot noise going off in a crowded elevator, or your Dad tooting his horn in his favorite lazyboy chair, opens the doors to a light hearted chuckle. (even if we say “eww that’s disgusting” ) You turn to yourself and admit… you do it too.


SO WHY MAKE FART ART?

I’ll give you three good reasons!

1.] Show off how crazy you can be with Face expressions! Use those fun shapes!
2.] Allow yourself to be modest, lighten up and give yourself a chance to get in touch with your inner humor!
3.] Honor the Classic Humor! and make fun of your enemies!




OK…..SO WHAT CAN I DO? WHAT’s THE OBJECTIVE?

It can be Photography, a doodle, a sculpture, an animation, a short literature, a comic strip, or an illustration!
Any Genre on DeviantART can participate! Even wallpapers! (but they might peel)

Judging
You will be judged on How Creative and Funny your piece is! It could be the most distorted, abstract doodle ever and it could still win! Creativity and Humor outweighs technical skill! But that doesn’t mean present it in the sloppiest way. (in order for us to understand the joke…it’s gotta have some organization to it)

Absolutely No Mature Content. No nakedness, provocative poses, sexual themes, or gore.
Keep it PG rated please!!
Butts are ok….just nothing too nasty. Try to keep pants on if you can

Ideas….
Wanna get back at the annoying girl across the street? A teacher that gets on your nerves? Your boss that drives you mad? -- Hey a great way to not feel guilty about making fart art is to make someone else witness/be part of it.

Classic slapstick comedy is always a great idea. You can think of cliché fart scenes/jokes, like the crowded elevator, dead silence, or even the fancy restaurant

Make Fart fan Art! Yeah that’s right. Fan Fart! Pepe Le Pew sure made a stink back in the day. Maybe Superman has a secret to his flying ability Pokemon can be stinky too! Fan art is totally accepted as well!

You don’t have to draw someone in the act of releasing gas….although Poot clouds are amazingly fun to create But the aftermath of a fart can be just as funny! Think stink.
also—Fart machines (speakerboxes) are fair game.
Onomatopoeia is also welcome! We want to hear those poot noises if they are happening!

If you are really going for an all out aerial assult, poot clouds can be any color, diameter, texture, you want. Anthro/inanimate objects can be subject to gas too.
