The Beatles Around DeviantART

*livyer:iconlivyer: reports, October 22
Here you could see a few of the Classic and Amazing art of The Beatles.

“I have never seen anything like it. Nor heard any noise to approximate the ceaseless, frantic, hysterical scream which met the Beatles when they took the stage after what seemed a hundred years of earlier acts. All very good, all marking time, because no one had come for anything other than the Beatles...

DeviantMUSIC: Deviant Music Project

~ChadSyphrett:iconChadSyphrett: reports, October 14
The Deviant Music Project is for those of you, who would like to either:

1. Work together with me to build a huge music-collection at this site, which would have links to music from all over the world (including Candy Mountain-land!)

2. Convince the staff-members of this site to allow us to embed Playlists (like the playlist you can see, there: [link]) on the active-members' profiles at this website.

If you like the idea of having playlists on your DeviantART-profiles (or in your Devious Journals): Support the future-managers of the Deviant Music Project by telling the DeviantART-Staff to hire Chad Syphrett to work for them, as a marketer & spokesperson for DeviantART Inc. at YouTube, in 2 weeks.

#audio

~Gazoogleheimer:iconGazoogleheimer: reports, August 23, 2008
#audio: Devoted to the discussion of music, instruments, composition, listening, and audio equipment.

In my time on dAmn, I suddenly realized, to my horror, that there was no chatroom devotedto the general discussion of audio and music. Music is certainly art, and also very interesting when it comes to affecting us emotionally. Besides, the technical side of audio and musical production is very interesting (well, at least to me), and I thought that there are probably plenty of people on dA in the market for instruments and would
like suggestions as to what they should purchase (similar to discussions over cameras on other dAmn channels), as well as learning related to recording (and its related technology), synthesizers, and the like.

Essentially, I want to start a chat that accomplishes several goals.

  • ► Has nonexclusive membership (not just for a certain age group, skillset, etc.)
  • ► Has a civil atmosphere
  • ► Is popular enough that a daily visit isn't riddled with boredom
  • ► Is a good place to learn as well as teach about things related to audio

  • However, of course, I can't do it by myself. Not only do I need members to turn it into an actual populated channel, I need tactful, intelligent moderators (who know what they're doing and aren't banhappy) as well as someone to be so kind as to create a banner for the chat other than my little stamp.

I hope that this chat can eventually flourish, not just as a place to learn, but as a place to socialize and discuss common interests and share work and recordings--composition included.

Yes, this news article may not seem much, and the premise of this room might not fit what you want to visit. If you have any suggestions, please note me, for I am very curious as to how I could make this new little audio-related chat better.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you stop by!

This sounds like a great idea, the chance to not only express our feelings within photography and traditional art, but also by the audio around us. Not what can be seen, but can be heard. Yes, in cases seen, but only the lyrics and such. No matter this is an amazing idea, and I hope for this to fly high.

I am not much of a stamp maker, but I am very fond of music and the composition, being an musician/performer myself. I hope to give some insight, and help if you need it.

So, keep me posted on the news for this chat room, I will be willing to hear, haha get it, hear? every detail.

FAQ #81: How can I make links to other deviants, deviations, or websites?

    my new myspace account
    :iconrandom-guest:
This sounds very cool. As you say, music is art too...and it would be really cool to have a place to talk to other creative musicians on dA. I have a music myspace, but it would be nice to have some critique on the songs, such as others do on their visual art posted on this site.

I would be very interested in helping out in any way, if you needed it...
