Try not to be macabre if you are picturing nightmares. Respect the rules, have fun and most important, follow your heart!
This feature was brought together by my watchers and hours of browsing galleries for inspiring pieces that have gone unnoticed. Here are the results, one hundred beautiful photographs with under one hundred favorites. Let's give these artists the attention they deserve <3

Showing the full range of what a camera can record is the dynamics. If a photo is overexposed you are seeing to much highlights and the photo looks blown out and if it is underexposed you are not seeing enough highlights and your photo is to dark. When you shoot a stop down or two you are trying to record all the highlights in the shadows and visa versa. Shooting a HDR (High Dynamic Range) photo you are trying to capture as much highlights in both the shadows and bright areas. There are several ways to do this. The best accepted way is to take multiple photos at different exposures and combine them. This brings out the best details. Another way is to take a photo and make several copies or layers and adjusting each one and then combining them. There are many different types of software that can achieve this. It can be done in Photoshop or many other types of stand alone software. Search the internet for HDR software. Full range of color dynamics can be seen in these photos and they really pop out at you. Saturation is increased as well as tonal ranges. Certain things have to be done to get the best results. Taking multiple exact compositions is a must. That means the camera and surroundings have to be the same each time. This means using a tripod will get the best results. Take a photo, adjust the exposure and take another and another. Do all this trying not to move the camera. Any movement will mean one picture is different from another. This also goes for the subject. If the subject moves between shots, when combined they will be in different positions and the result will be blurry. Use the cameras timer or a shutter release. Careful software processing is also important so that images don't look cartoony or look to unnatrual. Too much can be a bad thing. The best is a HDR photo that doesn't look HDR. That is pretty much the basics of HDR photography. What I am showing is what I think are amazing examples of Dynamic Black and White photos. So enjoy and let me hear your comments because this is my first news story. Thank you.
well said! most people would recommend Photomatix as the HDR processor, but personally I like an application called Dynamic-Photo HDR. First off, it's easier for beginners, however you have to manually align the source images - Photomatix will do that for you. Secondly, the terminology used for the tone-mapping controls is in better "English" for beginners, whereas Photomatix uses the proper technical terms. I also find the results of HDR's tone-mapped with Dynamic-Photo HDR to be more vibrant looking, meanwhile keeping a realistic look to them.
A couple other neat features with Dynamic-Photo HDR worth mentioning are: 1. It gives you the option to automatically apply the Orton Effect - which I have actually written a Photoshop tutorial for - [link] 2. It will allow you to do a "fake HDR" with only one photo, but it will warn you beforehand. Likewise, it allows you to do a proper HDR with only 1 RAW file. 3. There's a Photoshop plugin available, making it possible to only need Photoshop rather than 2 separate applications! (although they call it Redynamix - same idea though)

By the way ~steelybobber, thanks a ton for the feature!!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
