Hello everyone! Welcome to
The Red Dot Contest! This is a competition designed for all creative deviants all over dA!

The purpose of this contest is to use your imagination and creativity as much as possible and create a piece of art that will be original and pleasant to look at. And of course, to have great fun!

Contest info is also available in `
aeterne's journal:

THEMEThe main theme may sound simple, but in fact it requires some thinking.
The task is: to create an artwork in which a
RED DOT would be the
MAIN SUBJECT, both essencially and technically, composed in a way that fits the whole creative idea.
The red dot can be in
any size you want - it can occupy 80% (or more) of the drawing or just 10% (or less), can be framed/cut or whole, it only depends on what you want to gain! The only restrictions are the
colour,
shape and the fact that it has to be the
main subject.
OK, here's a very simple example: let's imagine a drawing with a girl holding a balloon that is actually a red dot. Now you get it? The most important thing here is the COMPOSITION. You have to choose accurate colours and plan every part of the image carefully so that it looks well.
It's not that hard!

The idea came from ~
KacperSpala, so you can blame him.

RULES
All media allowed! Traditional, digital, photomanipulation, photography etc.. Just everything that uses visual presentation!

A dot must be RED and has to be a rounded DOT. You can use only
ONE red dot.
One entry per deviant. If you create something new after submitting the first entry, you can always change it before deadline.

The whole work must 100% your own. This means that you can't use someone's lineart, nor collaborate with other deviants. Of course photomanipulators are allowed to use stock photos.

Works must be uploaded to deviantART and cannot be in Scraps category.

Please
mention about this contest in a deviation's description.

Entries must obey all of deviantART policies. No Mature Contents as well.

The work can be old or new, whatever you have, as long as it SUITS the theme (which may be a bit hard to do with the old works xD).
HOW TO ENTER? Send a note to `
aeterne with a link to your entry.

All the entries will be placed in this journal:

THE DEADLINE IS OCTOBER 6, 12:00 AM EST.

JUDGINGThe Great Trio consist of:

All the entries will be judged very precisely. What we take into consideration as most important are:
