jesique"[My name is] Jessica Haligowski, aged 20. My most common mediums are acrylic, wax, oil, ink, and watercolor. I get into various mediums by experimenting and exploring new options to create my art with. Perhaps this is a reflection of my adventurous personality. I use brushes and paint or ink. My emotions and music affect the mood of my art. I appreciate Salvador Dali, my father has several of his originals and for years I have been entranced with his surrealism.
My favorite piece that I have created is "Vulnerable" this piece is a portrait of myself when I was younger. This is a piece I portray the innocence of my youth. "

siantjudas"My name is Bobby, and I'm 19 years old. The media I used for these, as well as most of the pieces I do now, was black pigment liners and sharpies. I started using these in my search to find ever more consistant ways of depicting a consistant pure black, that still allows me the control to render detail. My inspiration comes from scenes and ideas pulled from my head, as well as the events of my life. Some of my favorite artists are the concept artists at Blizzard entertainment, which were a great inspiration to me back when I was younger, and my favorite DA artist would have to be, *Aerion-the-Faithful because I love his unique style, and the way he makes the images his own.
So far my favorite piece is Joldor and Grison, because I was able to update an older idea and really make it more into the image I saw in my head."

Tiffany-Ann"My name is Tiffany and I am 21 years old. My passion is portrait photography. I have been in love with photography since I was 15 and have been mostly doing self portraits until recently. I use a Canon 40D with my only lens so far, the Canon 50mm 1.4. My inspirations would have to be old buildings, the ocean, vintage, music (mostly female vocalist combined with orchestra and metal, such as Epica or Nightwish). My Favorite artists/photographers, would have to be Madame Yevonde, because she uses such vibrant colors with her vintage photography. Iman Woods for his pin up portraits. And also a few artists that i have come across on Deviant art, Lara Jade (`larafairie), I love all her work, it's so inspiring and seeing her work keeps me motivated, and I would also have to say Elizabeth May ( *Auriethepixie)on Deviantart for her dream like feel in her photographs, with the beautiful color contrasts, and her amazing eyes!
I would have to say my favorite piece that I have created so far is "Dear Stable Boy", the area we shot this at is a very beautiful place, and has a story behind it, which you can read more about in the deviation its self."

katie-renai"[I'm] 17 [I use] all mediums available to me. [I got into said mediums from] some from school, most are on my own just using things I find or buy. I use a tablet for computer art. Thats about it. I get inspired by the strangest things sometimes. Also my dreams [inspire me]. Looking at art sometimes inspires me too. I have a lot of favorite [artists]. I really like Mucha because I was just amazed by his artwork. I also really like Audrey Kawasaki. I saw her works a few days ago and it inspired me so much. My favorite works vary a lot. I do really like famous paintings though like Mona Lisa...etc. I think they are amazing and it's amazing how those arts could last so long threw all these years and still be considered some of the best.
My favorite [self created] would have to be my sculpture. I worked hard on it, and put a lot of effort into it. Spent long times looking for the right pieces to put on it. And I feel like I really expressed myself with it."

TheDissidentOne"My name is Aleksi. I'm 20 years old. I mostly use just pencil and ink. I chose to work with them because they are easy to come by and easy to work with. I'm inspired by dreams, random thoughts, music and all the things around me. I don't have an absolute favourite artist.
My favourite work of my own would be Ballet Grotesque for reasons unknown."

pixie-on-mushroom"Hallo! My name is Stella and I'm a 16 year old girl from sunny Greece. I've drawn since I can remember, really. I mostly use ink pencils and then I digitally colour my works on photoshop but I like using watercolours and coloured pencils too. My main ispirations are people around me, music, comics and sometimes my dreams. My favourite artist is M.C Escher whose works are simply mindblowing. I also admire Walt Disney without whom the cartoony world wouldnt be as we know it today. My dream is to become one day one of those great cartoon artists that everybody talks about however childish it sounds"

Garacci1ink"Hello, my name is Jeremie and I am 26 years old. My favorite medium has to be pens and white paper. I love them because they give me that instant gratification I need. I have no patience, and that is a bad thing for any artist. Ink allows me get my ideas out in an aesthetically pleasing way, in an acceptable amount of time. As luck would have it, black and white fits my artwork perfectly. My favorite pens are pigma microns, and sharpies. I am inspired by the natural conflict we as humans deal with on a daily basis. Not quite animals, but not quite gods. It seems we are always confused within even if we hide it on the outside. The best way I handle my own human emotions and struggles is through my artwork. My favorite artist would have to be Alex Grey, he may be more colorful then me but I can feel where his artwork is coming from. I hope to imitate the evoking of emotions just like him.
Lastly, my favorite piece would have to be The Key Dream. I'd go into details, but I would prefer you to have your own interpretation...

jvrichardson"Currently, I am 20 [years old]. I have experience in digital photography, enhancement, and manipulation/creation. I also practice graphite illustration as well as watercolor, acrylic, and oil on canvas. I have been published for literature, graphite, and oil on canvas. However, my preferred methods will always lie with a digital camera and a computer. I have been using Adobe Photoshop applications and the like for nearly ten years. New to photography, I have only been taking photos for four years. Starting with a Nikon Coolpix L2 in High School, I eventually upgraded to a Canon Rebel XTi (400D) and a variety of lenses, which I still currently use. I am inspired by nature, imagination, and emotion. My favorite photographer is Raquel Edwards.
My favorite [self created] piece [is] Tart."

Souldat"I'm 20 years old. I primarily [take] photos. Rarely, I will manipulate them through photoshop, but it does happen. I write some poetry too, but have not in awhile. I've always been interested in photography, but never had the chance to just jump into it with all the professional gusto an aspiring photographer would have. Sometime during this year, my uncle bought a camera on eBay that he was planning on selling for a profit. I had some cash to spare, so I bought it, put some film into it, point, and shot. I use an old film SLR - a Konica Autoreflex TC. I'm saving up for a DSLR, either a Canon or Pentax. A variety of things [inspire me], but primarily just the essence of whatever it I am looking at. Of course nature has more to offer, but even the simple garbage underneath a bus bench or a cigarette butt standing on it's tip, crumpled and still letting of smoke has something to say. There's always a story to be heard. So far my journey as a photographer has led me to believe that not one single person can capture the many perfect moments occurring at the same time, all over the world. I have no single favorite photographer, just the many talented photographers and their photos in my list of favorites, and collection of pictures. Beyond photography, I greatly admire the work of Edward Hopper, Zdzislaw Beksinski, Louis Wain, Hiroaki Samura, and the poetry of Edgar Allan Poe and John Donne. Although they come from a range of genres, simply the way they are able to present their work so masterfully regardless of genre just shows that art is not limited to one genre or even medium. It's inherent in everything. The artist only needs to unearth it.
[My favourite piece] is titled "So that's what love is." Of all the photos I've taken, this one I find is the one I was most fortunate to be able to take, and the one so far that I put my judgment and skill as a photographer to the test. I invite the reader of this article or whomever to take a closer look at the details. All I can say is that it was part luck, part skill that I had been at the right place at the right time to capture the story unfolding."

the-reluctant-dragon"I use gouache and watercolours, which I have used for as long as I can remember, and I also use patterned and textured papers. I work on rough watercolour paper, and I'm inspired by traditional japanese art, storybook illustration, fantasy and nature. I love the work of Muscha and Monet, for the colour and rhythm in their work, and also Alan Lee, his lord of the rings images are incredible!
My favourite piece of my own is "The Dream Dragon". The process of creating this piece was just as satisfying as the finished result!"
