♥||\/||♥ NOW INTERVIEWING ^Myana ♥||\/||♥ ---->

To kick off the first Artisan Crafts article for the Club, we're interviewing our beloved Myana. She's fantastic at everything she does. Be it Cabinetry, or her Gallery Director duties, she seems quite capable of staying right on top of it all. Soon, we'll have a tiny Deviant running around here, so go give her some extra special luvvin'!

Tell us a little bit about what you do for a living/hobbies.

I'm a cabinetmaker/woodworker who is lucky to be able to earn my living on my passion! I am currently employed at a small cabinetry where we manufacture custom furnitures and interiors. I have a an education equal to bachelor degree in cabinetmaking/cabinetdesign and have been working for several years, but still learn something new every isngle day. Wood is a living material and since we don't massproduce at my work, every new assignment is a new challenge. I love it!



What got you started in your specialty works?

A passion for the material, in creating something that'll hopefully last generations, come up with clever solutions in designs and mix that with skilled craftmanship. To keep the traditions of this occupation alive and not let it die because of massproduction.

What all areas are you capable of?

Wood?! I work on a piece/furniture/project from start to finish, so it's all in between

Do you accept Custom requests, and do you take on Commissions?

No, I have a fulltime job and whatever free time I spend on woodworking I'm experimenting with my own ideas, my own designs.

In your opinion, what's the funniest "term used", as far as terminology goes, in your artwork?

This is completely lost in translation, and I don't know many english terms

What's the funniest, or craziest, thing that's ever happened to you while creating?

uhm, everything and noting! lol, what a weird question.
Funniest? uhm, maybe all the fantastic people I've met
Craziest? All the prejudices on women working in a man-dominated occupation

How long have you been doing this?
