DMchat is organizing for the very first time a "
Critique Weekend".
#DigitalMedia has had a history of critique night chat events, which became very popular in a short time, leaving behind devastated critiquers, but very satisfied artists.
This time, however, we decided to go beyond the boundaries of the chatwalls. We'll extend this event on a bigger scale and give the critiquers as well as the artists a whole week to help eachother out.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?#DigitalMedia is a chatroom made by and for digital artists. It's a place where you can go to have feedback on your work and ask tips and tricks to the many talented artists. As a part of the Digital community, we often have chat events. To promote a
positive communication between artists and give them a chance to be critiqued by a few professional artists.
HOW CAN I ENTER?You can only ask critiques on one of your own digital works. It has to be posted in your gallery. All you have to do is post the
link to your deviation in a comment below. It would be nice if you point out the points you might need some input on. Issues like composition, anatomy, surface rendering, color theory, etc. You might want to flag your deviation with "Encourage advanced critique". Next thing you definitely should do is
fav this journal and spread the word as far as it can reach. We accept your requests
untill sunday 5 october has ended on your calender. The critiquers will then devote part of their weekend and the week after that to help you out as much as possible, writing their
critiques in a comment on your deviation.
CAN I BE A CRITIQUER?Of course! We'd love to! Again, this event is put up to promote a positive communication between artists and you can be a big part in that. The only thing we ask of you is to write your critique as a comment on the deviation, not here in the news article. You'll be critiquing along the following artists:
*
liiga, `
OchreJelly, `
snowmask, =
fleur-de-soleil, ^

MORE?Keep in mind that this is
not a showcase! It's not our intention to be critiquing your most popular finished artwork.

Devious Comments
Mostly, I'm just looking for general critique on, like...everything. But more specifically, I'm looking for ways to make it creapier.
Obviously, it isn't finished, so major changes won't break my heart at this time. ^_^;;

Mostly, how to get the different elements to mesh correctly. Also, I need serious pointers on lighting. Every time I *think* I do it correctly, something comes out wonky.
Thanks for the help!
I would like some critique on [link] , it is the first landscape painting I've ever done and also the first speedpaint.
I don't expect it to be perfect at all but I'd appreciate knowing how I could improve from there

I'm looking for some general critique because I'm not doing photomanipulations that often. I just want to know how to make it better.
