October Mini Contest - Contrasting Pairs

• First place wins a 3 month subscription.
• First three places receive a month-long journal feature.
• First 25 entries will be featured in a news article.
• This is a photography contest, the theme is Contrasting Pairs.
• Deadline is October, 24^th.
• Voting ends October, 30^th.
• Winners will be announced on November 1^st.

The Theme & Rules

 The theme for this photo contest is Contrasting Pairs. I'd like to see photos showing contrasting concepts like hot/cold, near/far, big/small etc. It's entirely up to you to choose a concept. If your interpretation of the theme isn't altogether obvious, I'd appreciate a short explanation in the Artist's Comments-section of the deviation. I accept old photos, and I accept diptychs.

 To enter the contest, just drop me a note with a thumb or link to your photo and „Contest“ as the subject line. Only one photo per account please.

 I will only accept photographs taken with a film or a digital camera featuring a minimal amount of color and exposure adjustment. Photomanipulations, which are images that have been composed of two or more photographic elements to create something new, won't qualify.

 All contest entries are displayed in my contest journal, and in my October Mini Contest Collection.

How to Vote

Voting begins October, 26^th and ends October, 30^th, 24:00h WST. What time is that for you? You either send me a note or answer to my reminder-note. This is how it works:

• Only contestants can vote.
• Select up to five of your favorite entries (but not your own).
• Send a note of the following format:

  2. Artist's name - 4 points
  3. Artist's name - 3 points
  4. Artist's name - 2 points
  5. Artist's name - 1 point


• The artist with the most points wins.
• Only those who vote, are eligible to win.
• I won't vote myself. I'm just hosting the contest.
