Finally, the first contest! This contest has been a big to-do, and I first want to thank everyone who voted/commented on the
poll to give feedback. It made it much easier to cater this contest to what you members wanted!
For this contest,
anyone is eligible to enter, whether you are a member of *
Inked-Page or not. If you are interested in joining the club, please read about the
joining process.
About the ContestThe first *
Inked-Page contest will consist of three different prompts:

Photograph Prompt
Two way by ~
circusheadUsing this photograph as inspiration, write a piece based on what you interpret.
NOTE: Please do NOT use this photograph as your preview image. Feel free to leave a link to the original deviation in your artist's comments, though.

Keyword Prompt
Keyword: Illusion
Use this word as the start of your piece, the theme, or any other way you'd like.

Sentence Prompt
"We were complete opposites."
Incorporate this sentence into your piece somehow.
Contest Rules* Subject to change if need be.

One entry per deviant. Since there are three prompts, make sure you choose wisely!

Poems must be 150 lines or less. Prose pieces must be 3,000 words or less.

You must clearly state which prompt you used in the deviations artist's comments.

You must also link back to either the
club journal or this news article in the deviations artist's comments.

Contest entries must be made specifically for this contest (deviated on/after October 4).
NOTE: Prize donators are eligible to enter the contest, as well. Judges may enter, but will not be able to have input in the judging process for their piece.

How to DeviateSimply place your contest entry into whichever literature gallery it is best suited for. The title does not need to be something specific for the contest; we encourage you to be creative. Don't forget to specify which prompt you used in your artist's comments, and link back to the contest information in either the
club journal or this news article.
How to SubmitSend a note to *
Inked-Page. The subject of the note should include "contest entry" and your username (e.g. Contest Entry, mode-de-vie). All notes will be responded to.
Any entries not sent in a note will be ignored. Do not leave a link to your entry on *Inked-Page's front page.Contest begins: Saturday, October 4, 2008
