W sumie to tylko biedni ludzie są, których otoczenie nie dopieściło, tylko ich żałować można.

"Do you have any idea how long I spent preparing that speech!?"
I am a person who gives out a very, very large number of faves. This is not because I want to get more pageviews. It is simply because there are tens of millions of deviations on this site, thousands more per day, and for every thousand, I'm sure that at least 100 are worth a fave.
So, if I went through every day's deviations, and made 100 faves a day, maybe I'll get 100 "thanks for the fave" messages.
Here is a problem that I think is more significant:
People who send out "thanks for the fave" messages are giving people like me what I like to call empty pageviews.
I know that a great many of the people I fave don't bother to look at my gallery when they say thanks.
I am fully aware that one of the only reasons I have even reached 46,000 pageviews in the space of 5 years on this website is because (a) occasionally I post nudes, and (b) I get at least 10 "thank you" messages per day.
Neither of those make me proud, but (b) in particular saddens me, because it makes my work feel empty. I went to the effort of showing appreciation for their work, and they've gone to the effort of showing appreciation for my appreciation.
This is not a fair trade.
That is not reciprocation.
If my work isn't eye-catching enough to warrant a returned fave, I would appreciate at least a critical comment. I would prefer someone tell me why my work is bad than that they simply increase my pageviews under false pretenses, giving me a false sense of appreciation for my art, by simply showing up and saying "thankyou" and nothing more.
I don't want thanks, I want the same respect I showed them by appreciating their work and looking up to them.

no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.
What can I say more is that I really checked these people that I was thinking about when writing my news.
The true is that they were giving faves so qickly and so often that it was not even possible for them to stop and look at the images for more than 2 seconds... so I do not believe that they DO meant to fav it because they appreciate it.
and they often put their 'real faves' in separate gallery folder than the other faves, and sometimes even name this folder in the way that means that they don't care.
we cannot generalize eaither the problem from mine nor from your example.
I just hate the people who just lie to me by faving my work. and so the other's work.
anyway, thank you for sharing your opinion
