Welcome to the fourth (I like number 4) issue of the...

ANTHRO COMMUNITY's CHOICE
(Dedicated to =SlyDante, for all his efforts with the Mini-DD features)
Where does this come from

Just in case you have missed our previous issues
(the latest one can be found here) let me explain this again, so you can not only enjoy this but participate and send me your suggestions for a next volume.

The whole Community Choice story started out as a simple series of articles by ^
misskittyoooo where deviants could choose one deviants gallery and pick a few deviations from it to feature. In February 1st, ^
Helewidis gave a twist to that idea, the project soon extend and took the form of Community Choices News Articles, embraced by several Gallery Directors (including your friendly neighbor ^
skifi!) and by everyone in deviantART.

The goal of this project is simple: To provide a fun and simple way of featuring good work from deviantARTs galleries in a collaborative spirit between Gallery Directors and the community. The purpose is to expose deviants artworks without the just post thumbs attitude - we feel this way the Featured works get the attention and respect they deserve!

So, if you feel a deviation is great and should be featured, you may want to suggest it to get a Daily Deviation (DD), to be exposed in the Featured Anthro Art journals.... but if you want to feature a whole gallery, or an anthro artist and some pictures from their deviantART album, then this will be the place. And maybe you'll see your selection in the next "Anthro Community's Choice" #5...!!!
OK, let's start here

PsychoGlitchThis piece, "I wish this finger was loaded." by *
PsychoGlitch, shows the extremely strong feelings of the character very successfully. Together with the commentary given with the picture, this is a very emotional work which needs to be viewed.

Kyrahlynn About "Strolling Through the Park", a wonderful atmosphere and great costumes, along with a good choice of colours makes this my second choice!

*
lawzy87And to finish on a lighter note, I love the style and colours in "Socks" by *
lawzy87! The "cartoony" style of drawing is one I've always been a fan of, and this is a brilliant example!

by ~
kittiaraThere are so many things I love about "Heavenwards", and the detail is right up there at the top! The texture of that wood must have taken so long and look at the subtle sea. The story behind this image is touching and its good fun to try and find each character mentioned. Also, you just have to love that dragon!

devikinsHaving entered this competition myself, I know exactly how much hard work (but fun hard work!) would have gone into this "Summer Coloring Contest Entry", especially to achieve such stunning results. I especially love the wonderful way in which the felines hair is shaded.

dwyIIIve always been a
huge fan of *
dwyIIs art and "Xale Nightstride Con Badge" just makes me giggle it must be that cheeky pose and expressions. Expressions are something that Dwy has mastered completely and this is evident when looking at her gallery.

ESG"Love Song" is incredibly touching. The lack of colours cause us to focus on the two figures and the pure emotion there. The way in which ~
ESG has used shadows and highlights is particularly impressive!

by *
tikopetsIve loved "Sad Songs" since the first time I saw it. Its in a very illustrative style and the simple shading in a simple setting somehow make us study the picture further. There is also a huge amount of feeling in this picture, which is reinforced in the artists description.

Demonysh"Kittypoot" is just so brilliantly hilarious that you have to feature it! I love the simple style and the fact that this is used in a very simple joke works really well.

Because not too many people yet sends me their community choices, this feature is as short as the previous issues. Because of that, I wish to thank both =
davecheesefish and =
Pixel-Spotlight now because of the time them both took to select their choices and send me them. I hope this fourth issue keeps encouraging more anthro gallery members to browse the gallery and note me with their selections, in this additional way to feature some of the wonderful art we can find Anthropomorphic Art related: nothing would make me feel happier than to get flooded with suggestions enclosing your Anthro Choices for a next news article *hint hint*

I know I always say the same but.... it's true!!!

"OH. You know what we should do? We should go in there and put a ROMANCE novel in their BIOGRAPHY section. THAT would show them!"
