Official Art Contest!!!
So here are the details of this contest:
The event I need this artwork for is scheduled for May 2009. The charity it will be benefiting is one where kids get free lessons in arts programs in exchange for community service hours. It's an AMAZING concept. It's called Harmony For Youth. You can learn more about it by visiting
[link] Since this whole thing is about kids, I wanted the artwork to be done by a youth (19 and under). However, due to the fact that I've only had 1 submission in the last month, I've opened this up to all artists.
The contest:
I will purchase a 12-month subscription for the person who wins it.
The rules are relatively simple:
Stick to the theme (see below).
No copyrighted materials are allowed. This is an official charity. This is the big-time stuff. No law-breaking allowed.
I must be able to use the images for whatever I need for the above-described charity event, as this is the point of the artwork required.
Theme:
The artwork I need is for a dinner show called "For Love of Isis". It will be mostly belly dancing and singing.
What I need are the following:
* a dancing belly dancer, preferably long-haired, wearing wonderful vibrant colours and flowing skirts.
* a title graphic saying "For Love of Isis".
It would be better to have these in high resolution so I can work the size to whatever ends up being needed for the website I am creating as well as the paper marketing (ie. flyers, tickets, etc.). Also, please make sure the background color is transparent, black or white.
The winner will be featured on the front page of the event website at
[link] and on the paper marketing for the event. Any other entries will be included throughout the rest of the website. I want to make sure they are all featured.
I think I'll do a cut-off time of October 30, 2008.
Please send all submissions to loveofisis@hotmail.com.
Thanks... and good luck to everyone! I can't wait to see what everyone will come up with!!!
FAQ:
As questions are asked by people interested in this contest, I will post them here.
Here are the answer(s):
No, it just wouldn't be fair to have you only do one of the requested images and still win, so if you want to do only one image, that's fine, but it won't be submitted for the contest.
