Now and Then: Part 2

=cookiekitty-stock:iconcookiekitty-stock: reports, October 13, 2008
We've all got to start somewhere - and the stock category isn't any different.

A lot of us get into stock as a casual hobby... before it starts to take over your life and suddenly you consider selling your organs for that prettiful dress or kick-ass prop collection on ebay!

A lot of artists don't get to see the 'beginning' of a stock artists' gallery when they first start out, so here's a flashback on some kickass stockers we have in Stock Art today

Lastly, some of these images are not 'the first of the lot' from these stockers' galleries. Beware of stock gallery culls, my friends. If you like something - save it. Most stockers tend to go through periods where they cull 'old' stock from their galleries to make way for new material.

:star: And Remember: :star:
The increase in quality you witness but may not realise when you watch a stocker is not only due to the time they spend trying to improve to make their stock more useable... its also thanks to the donations of the kind and generous artists on this site to help buy better equipment, backdrops, costumes and other such fancy stuff we wouldn't normally be able to buy.

So thank you to the artists for supporting the stockiliciously deviant stockers on this site and thank you to the stockers for doing what you do in such a joygasmic way.

Ellie

Very interesting feature! I got a good laugh at myself from it, and it's neat to see other stocker's "roots"

Though I have to say, I have never taken donations, though seeing how some of the other stockers have expanded their costume & prop reservoir from it, I may do it in the future.

Wonderful feature. Great to see how you put the old and new work from these stockers side by side. All the stock artists that you mentioned are great and ofcourse `lockstock couldn't be missed  And about *faestock ... you're so right about her. I've wanted to use her stock for such a long time, but I just can't choose :faint: She's way too good.

By the way Ellie, ehm, I do mis your own stock :poke: You've got an impressive gallery yourself  Keep up the good work!
:iconstock-by-kai:

What a cool idea for a feature! Definitely nice to see how stockists raise the bar over and over on quality of stocks offered. Nifty spiff!
