Introduction
Welcome to the weekly Help Desk Updates. In these weekly updates we will attempt to bring you the most up to date news concerning the Help Desk & FAQ, as well as provide some helpful hints for super duper deviantART fun.
Over the next coming months many exciting things will be taking place on deviantART, but the biggest thing of all that will take place will be done under the hood and before I give away too much i will stop right there until the time draws closer.
If you have not already heard $chix0r is now in the head Community Operations chair and let me tell you this woman deserves a round of applause for all of her hard work thus far and to come. So go and give her some applause if you have not already done so!
General Help & You
Over the last weeks we are seeing a growing trend in the help desk and this is to file every problem one could have under the contact category 'General Help', even when a special category for an issue has been setup. Some of the things that have been placed here in the last weeks in shocking amounts are Harassment Reports & Policy Inquiries. Another thing that General Help has been used a lot for as of late is quick answers to things found already in our FAQ.
General Help should 'only' be used when you have general questions concerning deviantART. IE: Help with using the site, such as uploading an avatar if all else in the FAQ fails, or when you need clarification of a faq entry or feature. In other words if none of the other contact categories answered by the Help Desk Team match your needs, this is the category for you.
Please keep in mind however that all policy related inquiries should be filed under one of the contact categories specifically setup for the Policy Team.
Message Centre FAQ
We're currently working on the Message Centre FAQ, so far we have the following; A section telling a user about the Message Centre, what they can receive there and so on and we have a breakdown of each section in the Message Centre. We would like to ask if you feel there is anything that SHOULD absolutely be included in this FAQ entry as well as what we already have, that you please leave a comment below with what you would like to see included.

Adblock or Adblock Plus a popular Firefox addon for many with great success, but for others a nightmare. I recently gave these popular addons a whirl around the web using some of the suggested filters or filters mentioned in various forums and this is what I had to find on various websites.
Off deviantART
1.) Fields missing (Login, Search)
2.) Buttons missing on checkout pages
3.) Pages stop halfway while loading
4.) Flash movies not playing
5.) Files taking longer than normal to upload
On deviantART
1.) Browse page often reports errors loading content
2.) Blank Pages
3.) Gallery images not loading
4.) Flash movies not playing
5.) Files taking longer than normal to upload
If you are a user of one of these popular addons you may wish to try disabling your filter sets then enabling them again one by one to see if one is the cause first, before contacting someone for help.
The filterset to have the most problems for many is 'Filter G'.

This Weeks Updates
General Help & You
