He rejected his birth name moved to Paris in 1921 and became the sole American in the vanguard of Parisian Modernism. Feature Party - Interview with Mcdbrd

~SifiL:iconSifiL: reports, October 16, 2008
Welcome to the Feature Party. This edition is complemented with a PDF file, where you will found my interview with ~Mcdbrd and the two special mentions. ^.^ So don’t waste time and download it! (there are two versions Spanish and English, links at the end)
I’m making changes in the way the Feature Party works, starting by the name (I’ve eliminated the Ultra word ) and ending in the format, that is going to be a PDF file now on. Anyway you have more info in the editorial of the PDF

Feature Party Profiles PDF file in English

~Mcdbrd is a former athlete of high level, Ice hockey player. He confesses he is a bit overweight, kind of love handles in the sides! He says he conserves only one neuron of a brave former athlete and the addiction to white spirit for doping it in the morning and no ego evenings. Now he only wants to share his images with others without complications or ornaments.

He stills writes, he has drawn and paint when he was young that was the way to controls some personal impulses. After redirecting his careers in the field of social work, especially being in contact with prisoners of long convictions, he was able to earn about computers and photography. He worked for a French Illustration Agency which owns more than 200000 slides about every theme. He was shocked when he fist discover Photoshop it changed the way he saw drawing and photography. What’s more he discover Digital Photography, then he decided to work on his own, learning the process of manipulation thanks to five years interchanging ideas on the internet.

He worked those five years making exercises. So that he can makes his own world inspired by the artist he loves (Bacon, Rebeyrolle, Van Dyck, Matta, Kandinsky, Klee and others), readings he likes (Kundera, Jack London, Anaïs Nin, and others) and music that he uses has brackgrund noise when he is working (that’s more diverse from Jazz to Classical going through 80 Punk). He first worked at illustration as a hobby that becomes sometimes in professional due to some projects, and then he found himself working in two jobs at the same time. But when the illustration agency closed (2005) he realized he didn’t get so much money of illustration.

Now he is working on the global CD cover for a French singer. He is also working in a few expositions beginning in Artkaos.net which is favorite French Forum. He is preparing some personal works for friends. And if everything goes well he wants to enter in an auction in Drouot.

Now you can read a little interview:

:SifiL: What is Art for you?
:Mcdbrd: An exercise, something that gives us pleasure. When we see something, a painting, drawing photography or cooking. All thing that gives us pleasure is art for me, an fugitive smile in the corner of an street is sometime the better place for art.

:SifiL: Why do you do the Art Style you do?? That Sexy Dark Photo manipulations?
:Mcdbrd: This question is difficult.
All the art that I make it’s not a vocation but and interest like another one. I try to do art with bad subjects, and hard things (violations, murders, infanticide, pedophile, etc)
This is a complaint, to make awareness. That Sexy Dark style is part of my work, that I want to do as an exercise because bad things are beautiful sometimes.

:SifiL: I want to ask you about your deviant name. What's is meaning?
:Mcdbrd: I forgot the a,r,u,o from my name M(ar)cDuBoRD, hihihi, a day without my withe spirit for doping my last neuron.

:SifiL: I want to ask you about you as a High level athlete. How was it? And why did you change your career?
:Mcdbrd: I practiced ice hockey. I work now as a Social Worker with man in prison and people without work. Because I’m not young and my body can’t help it, I had to leave the sport career. I had trained young people for 5 years after the term of my professional career, and after I make other choices in my life like have a family, do other things…

:SifiL: How did your social work lead you to computer and photography?
:Mcdbrd: I did photos of people traveling in the alps mountains to help my mind. After I collect 200000 pictures I contact and stock and I get a surprise when they wanted to employed me, to produce illustrations sort of things. Then I found photoshop and I could easily make a fusion between my paintings and photo, a real surprise for me and a way which I had a great pleasure to know.

:SifiL: You collect 200000 pictures and then an agency employed you??
:Mcdbrd: Yes, I’ve finished in 2005 and the stock is in my cave now.
I have to scan them but it’s so boring to do that.

:SifiL: You like lots of arts, and artist, but can you tell me why do you like them?
:Mcdbrd: I like Saudek for the pictures of big people nude. I like the way he work with nudes, Ville that is open for that nude. And Coigny for the black and he’s nude depuration style, I like Yan Artus Bertrand for the nature photos he does and more photographers the listing is really long.
I like the hand mark in the photography, the market of identity. When you see a picture and you can tell the name of the photographer. I like to see the personality of the man and women how is behind the camera.

:SifiL: What kind of advice would you give to someone that is starting (like me)?
:Mcdbrd: Work hard, do that you have to do. Not what others tell you to do. Do your way, what you have to do. Be just your, not the way others are. Have pleasure and fun with your job all the time, and search your way.

:SifiL: I want you to send a few words to the readers, you can also send greetings to someone you want
:Mcdbrd: I want to say thanks to all the girls who phone every day to tell me that I’m the best photographer… but it’s not possible the phone doesn’t ring anymore.
i just said thanks to all the support of every one in deviantART.
And an special greeting to my French friend in deviantART, 10000 excuses for my bad English of bad dog, and a special thank for you SifiL for your help and your interest in my person.
A big kiss for all the woman who want to make a nude session, hihihihi, I hope… I hope

Now two special emntions ^^

=vero-g6
My name is Veronica, I’m from Oviedo (Spain) and I’ve been drawing digitally for two years. I like to draw pictures with big backgrounds and with my own characters, in a manga style very personal. Almost everything I know was learnt in deviantART, my big art school.

I advise that for drawing, you must draw what you want and makes you feel better, it’s good to risk sometimes and try new things and search a personal style of your own without coping anyone.

=aliveruka
My name is Alejandro I’m 23 and was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina). I’ve been living in Spain for 4 years, concretely in Asturias. Here I met Veronica (=vero-g6) who , apart of be my girlfriend, is here with me taking photos and helping me with everything. I’ve just finish a Professional Formation course in the subt of Computer (administration of Computer Systems) and I like photography but wight now is just a hobby. I got a reflex camera a few ago and I’m learning. I love nature and I like to go on hiking routes... that I like to share with =vero-g6.

I don’t I have enough knowledge to give advice to others about photography Mainly I make photos of things I see and like. I want to be confident on what I do and when I upload a photo to deviatnART, if people likes it the better.
When I go somewhere to take photos is better to take all the time you can and take all the photos you need to take until you get what you want… I usually only use a few photos of the one I take.

I want to thank =vero-g6 because without her help I wouldn’t be in dA and maybe I wouldn’t be into photography.
Greetings to everyone.

And thats all for today, we have a new date on Xmast ^^
