Street Art Daily Deviations from September 2008

Interview with *nasimo

Tell us who you're you, where do you come from and for how much time do you make Street Art?

Who I am? Even I don't really know... maybe the cats are not what they realy are... I'm borned in the forest. Well actually I come from a little city called “Targovishte” in Bulgaria. And about the last part of the question: I don’t know what to say, because I’m not sure that the things that I do are actually street art, but maybe it is, because most of my stuff are made on the streets. I’m painting the walls since 1995, but it was just for fun and now I do what you see.

Why naste? What’s the story behind that name?

Naste comes from Nasty which you probably guess comes from one my favorite group and their album “Hello Nasty”. I liked the name and because it’s similar to the person inside me. Nasimo comes from Poland, where I wrote my name with a Bulgarian “T” and one magazine thought that it was “nasimo”. I like it because it sound more strong and serious. Nastera is the cousin on Simo! **and there I received a huge line with: hahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahah**

What do you think about the graff culture here in deviantART? Any favorite artists?

Oh, dev-Art is a cool place for artists and It’s cool that you can make your own portfolio and show what you want to show to all the people that art in the game. The are allot of people, like *velinov and couple other artists who really inspire me. I’m not inspired only by graff artists! I watch thing from a different angle. But overall I like the concept of deviantART! Too bad that I don’t have much time to check it very often.

What motivates you to keep going graffiti, how do you keep your passion?

I don’t think about it! But this passion controls my life. This is like the fuel that makes one car run. If I don’t get my dose I can’t stay a day.

What inspires you to pain?

Everything can motivate me! Probably it will sound banaly but I get most inspiration from girl’s eyes. The really beautiful girl’s lines and also all kinds of cats. I’m sure that you noticed that!

What’s your favorite method of painting? Cans, brushes, paint rollers, stickers, posters and etc.

With everything at the same time, but I feel best the cans.

What else do you like to do except art?

Maximum FUN, going to clubs, alcohol, sex and etc. I’m also very keen on sport cars!

Clubs and Info:

Nothing new… If you know any active graffiti clubs, please inform me!
