SURREAL & ABSTRACT

What is creativity? Who can be creative? How many meanings of creativity you can find in books?

I will try to explain it in simple words and present (it could be so subjective) some arts I could name "creative".

I'm a student of Psychopedagogy of Creativity at the polish Academy Of Special Education. Many times I have an occassion to see and learn what is creativity, what people can do when they think from another perpective, what we can create when we have little time for reflection.

In Poland we have to meanings of "creativity" and also two DIFFERENT WORDS explaining that! It will be very hard to tell you what I mean but I hope I'll manage.

FIRST

Creativity as activity
This means activity brings us products, figments of somebody's imagination that are new, original, socially useful, make you laugh, and are surprising- when you can say:
"WOW! I've never seen something like that!" or
"WOW! I would do the same!" (but I didin't : P )
But you must remember that some things are new to one, but for other not exactly so value of product is always subjective!

SECOND

Creativity as feauture
It's a personal potential to being creative, opportunities. And If someone have this potential it doesn't mean HE IS creative.

If you think you are creative person, ask some people- Do them like your works? Is that for them new and original?

I am a photomanipulator but many times I do arts as other people. Well, many times it's not original. That's why I started searching people who have a great ideas and use stocks in strictly amazing and totally different way. People, who make something from nothing. People, who see world through them eyes and don't care that the other don't understand their works. (You don't have to, it's clear). I found in DA some arts FOR ME creative, because when I saw them I thought: "Wow! This is really something different I've seen before." There are all the works I love (and not especcialy most viewed!):

DeviantArt is full of very good arts. I'm still impressed that we CAN change the world on the paper and with other tools. Just free your mind and run your imagination. On my studies we have exercises stimulating creative thinking. For example you have one minute for think up things with similar appearance to brush as much as is possible.
