After a long, long wait, here finally are the winners!!
First Place:

*
Nelleke: This picture is beautiful

It combines Storm in a physical way with rain, stormy clouds, sea, an umbrella and stormy colours, with a conceptual way. All bases are covered

Greatly done!!

Congratulations!!
*
0Hamster0: As Nelleke says, this one picture covers every possible aspect of the Storm - its power, its energy, its emotion. The mildly surreal feel of it also allows the viewer to take any meaning they want from it: is the woman mourning at the grave of a loved one, or is she walking as fast as she can away from that looming ship? Is the ship a bearer of bad news, or is it about to become a victim of the storm? Whatever you may see in it, you'll want to look again and again, drawn by the power of the storm.
Second Place (a tie!):

*
0Hamster0: This is thought-provoking on so many levels - is the man a broken man, pushed to the limits of endurance? Or has he just smoked a bad spliff? Whatever the emotions running through him, the intensity of his "Inner Storm" is enhanced by the storm raging just behind him... a well-deserved DD, too.

*
Nelleke: This lovely pic too combines the literal shape of Storm with a conceptual and emotional one.. it's a picture with a story. And it's also greatly drawn! Beautiful ^-^ Congratulations!!

*
0Hamster0: The power of the written word, eh? This poem combines a powerful rhythm, syntax, diction and a host of other fancy-sounding pieces of jargon, to create a piece of literature which both flows easily and makes you think. A joy to read, even at 1 o'clock in the morning.
*
Nelleke: The strength of this poem is it's rythm.. reading it goes so easy, almost floath-like (unfortunately I myself am not a poet, so I'm not very good at explaining what I mean

). This entry too combines a symbolic meaning with a literal one, and did it greatly. Congratulations!! It's a great piece of literature, and fits the theme really well
Third Place:

*
0Hamster0: The level of detail is enough to make a camera jealous, and the level of skill involved is enough to make a perfectionist smile. Aside from the looming tower-of-power that is the tornado, there are so many little things to look at and pore over, like the distant mountains, the clumps of greenery, and the lit house which may or may not be deserted...
*
Nelleke: This picture speaks for itself; it's amazing. The dark sky, the contrasting atmosphere between calm and cozy and doomfull, the perspective... all was great. Congratulations!!

Judging was really hard; and I don't mean that in a cliché, meaningless way, it absolutely was. Anybody who has looked at all those beautiful, original and unique entries will not doubt that I mean it. *
0Hamster0 and I had absolutely no idea who would win; we only began to get an idea a few days ago.
We really wanted to judge in a right way, to do all entries justice; to give you an impression of our judging-method, here's a summary of what we did:
Step 1: We divided all entries into categories according to their media.
Step 2: We both gave every entry points varying from a 1 to a 3, and only kept the ones that had a whole score of a 5 or a 6. If our scores differed much from each other we explained why we thought it deserved that kind of score, in order to convince each other. We repeated this process, getting more critical with every step, until we only had 3 entries of every media.
Step 3: We both chose our favourites of all entries left, until we had four (we couldn't eliminate one more, it was too hard). In this stage and the last we focussed a lot on the connection to the theme Storm.. for example on the presence of many aspects of it.
Step 4: We talked about our favourite order of rank, until we agreed on it.
I honostly wish we could have had more winners, but we're both poor students, so we're not that rich

Everyone who participated, thank you so much!! You made this contest possible, and made it one to be really proud of
