Works in a series give the artist the ability to show more than just one perspective or emotion in a work. Working in such a way can also allow the artist to show time which can be difficult to show in just one panel.

Purple used to be one of my least favorite colors...when I 1st started painting I used to have to force myself to use it ( had the same problem with pink). Though it is still NOT my favorite color, I have come to appreciate the different tones it has.

Thank you for the honor of featuring the rhododendron flower painting "Purple Bloomers", how coincidental...we just got back from saying our last goodbyes to a dear relative & in her collection of treasured things she had a picture of this painting prominently displayed. I sent her lots of painting photos but this one she thought was special. Thank you!
