Welcome Ghouls and Boils to the announcement you've been waiting for, Halloween 2008 on deviantART. This year I'm sticking to the galleries that I look after, Pin Up, Glamour and Commercial. The prizes are spooktacular as ever though.

The Contest
To capture those Petrifying Pin Ups, Ghoulish Glamour shots and Creepy Commercial photos. Ever wanted to photograph a Zombie Bettie Page? How about a wicked fashion shoot, or a morbid mac ad? Well now is the chance. All three galleries are open for you to get your fear on.

The contest will run from October 20th 2008 (yes that's TODAY!!!) to 11:59 pm PST, November 20th 2008

The Rules
Photography ONLY!!!! No manipulation allowed aside from colour adjustments, levels etc. No textures are permitted. Borders and watermarking is ok.

You can enter as often as you'd like, but can only win once!

Your entry must be new! Nothing submitted before October 20th 2008 will be accepted

The theme of your entry must fall into the gallery descriptions for Pin Up, Glamour or Commercial, but with a halloween twist of course.

The Prizes

1st place: 1yr sub or premium prints account, and devwear tshirt

2nd place: 6mos sub and devwear tshirt

3rd place: 3 mos sub and devwear tshirt

and selected from the absolute best of the creepiest:

Grand Prize Winner: 1 yr sub or prints account, plus a framed high art print from their wishlist

All the entries will be featured in a news article as well once the contest is completed.

How to Enter
Submit your entries between Oct. 20th to Nov. 20th to Contests & projects -> contests -> 2008 -> Halloween 2008 ->Get your fear on

Remember the images must follow the guidlines set out bellow, with a Spooky twist!

PIN UP
Retro styled pin-up photography in the 1940's/50's stylized fashions, with emphasis on the hair, makeup and period clothing.

GLAMOUR
Photographs of models, clothed or partially clothed, highly stylized and depicting either physical good looks or sensual impact.

COMMERCIAL
Commercial photography intended to make money for the photographer. Advertising and fashion are two prime examples.

Fashion
Commercial fashion photographs of clothes and accessories for use in advertising and promotion in the fashion industry.

Products
Commercial photographs of products for use in advertising and promotion.

Services
Commercial photographs where the primary focus is on advertising or documenting a service
