What are the rules?

Only one photography per deviant.
Submit 1 artistic nude photograph depicting a (nude) mime.

The photography must NOT violate deviantART's policy.

No photomanipulations allowed. You can make minor adjustments in darkroom, but nothing that would end up in a transformation of the photo into a photomanipulation. So, basically, all you can edit is contrast, hue & saturation.

The photo must contain nudity. This is a contest for the artistic nudes community within the deviant community, so please keep that in mind before you upload something to this contest category. If you do a mime photo, but the mime isn't nude it won't be considered in judging.

The photo must contain at least one mime in it, and the mime must be nude! For what is a mime please read the previous article: It's all about Mimes!!!

How can I enter this contest?

First, read the rules of this contest twice!!!

Secondly, you need to be able to do nudes, so you must be at least 18 years old and have a model in the same conditions (if not yourself);

Then, you'll need mime make-up, it is called "white". If you can't afford it you can use powder or even cream... anything that brings the same white-face effect. Most mimes also use red or black lipstick, and black outlines for the eyebrows or some other design, although that's not a rule, because there are mimes who only use the white.

Pick up your camera, your model in mime make-up and go to your studio, your room, a place outdoors, etc... and shoot!


To previously design a concept for the photography would be great!
There are inumerous things you can pursue with this!
You can use the classic mime movements of a mime in a box, or a mime pulling something to create a pose; you can use a mime story to create an environmental photo, etc, etc...

Remember: Be original while being mime-inspired!
