znow-white Had a great discussion about the resources section as it stood a few days ago. We figured out that we really needed more clarity and submission options for people who make video tutorials on "HOW TO" create artistic processes. After getting $
Moonbeam13's blessing, we now have a sweet space for these valuables.
Not only do we have a cozy space for "how to" use film production software,
but we also have something for the NON film artists that do video technique tutorials! It is sure to be amazingly popular, once we spread the word on it. What better than to see tutorials on artistic techniques IN VIDEO FORMAT!
Have a look at the submission path for the new categories....

This is going to be expanded upon and other items are already being considered but it's an exciting step in building the creative process library of HOW to's, all in their video glory. You'll find a spot for traditional and digital techniques that include

Drawing/Inking (Tutorials showing basic drawing and inking techniques presented in a video format)

Painting/colouring (Tutorials showing techniques in painting, markers, pencil crayons ect presented in a video format)

Other (Tutorials on techniques that are not listed, or dont fit in a another category. presented in a video format)

What can you look forward to?
Some of our greatest Film submissions have been tutorials on techniques! Check out some of the tutorials we already have, and maybe it will inspire you to make a video tutorial on your own techniques!

How do you make those?
There are many ways you can create these tutorials! For traditional artists, you simply need a camera and a tripod (or something pretending to be one). Film your techniques, then upload them! Digital artists can use a variety of resources to take video capture of your screen! We previously posted an article with the help of `
electricjonny about doing screen recording with camstudio!
Check it out!! and heres a video tutorial! fancy that

Anything else we need to know?!
Yes in fact! The same
Rules apply to film resources as do to all other categories on deviantART - (No copyrighted imagery or sound. This is not a new rule to film) - and you still need to apply for a film invite to post your tutorials as a film!
Don't let this detour you though! its a really easy proccess.
FAQ #842: How do I become a submitting member of the film community? All you need to know is in that FAQ, including a link to the small form t fill out! if you have any questions whatsoever you can contact your film team over at ^
deviantartfilm. We'll be eager and happy to help you get started!
Happy tutorialing deviants!
