Secrets is an independently curated exhibition that will be held in London at the beginning of December 2008. The theme of the exhibition is Secrets and you can explore this concept in any manner you choose. Work that is exhibited will be shown within a constructed environment with which the audience must interact in order to find the artworks. The concept of viewer participation is essential to this project and links in with ideas related to voyeurism as well as notions of the surveillant society. This is an open invitation for EVERYBODY to submit art works to this project, from amateur enthusiasts, art students to established professionals. Work must be submitted by Friday the 14th November 2008.
We are also very happy to announce that we have been able to secure an exhibition space for the project. This exhibition will be held at
The Foundry in Shoreditch, London from Tuesday 2nd December 2008 to Sunday 7th December 2008. For those of you that may not have heard of it before this space is incredibly popular with the local art scene and will result in all work gaining maximum exposure, which is one of the main reasons we have chosen to host our exhibition at this venue. Our opening night will also be on one of the famed Time Out First Thursdays, which is essentially a tour of all new shows in East London galleries that happens on the first thursday of every month (for more information go to
[link]) This will ensure even greater numbers of people could potentially be seeing your work.
To get involved in this project please see the Submission Guidelines in our journal for more information. Alternatively you can check out our website at
