Fans asked for it, so here it is. The jon.com t-shirt design contest is officially on! Enter for the fun, for the prestige, for the PRIZES!

The top three designs will be featured on shirts for sale on jonsmythe.com, the novel’s official website. In compensation (and in addition to my undying gratitude), the winners will receive their choice of:
- A year-long subscription to dA.
- An autographed first-edition copy of jon.com (estimated release date: January 2, 2009).
- A set of four official jon.com t-shirts.

The Grand Prize winner will receive all three prizes!

All shirt designs will be on display on the denlm dA page for the duration of the contest, and the winning designs will be featured in an article on dA upon conclusion of the event.

The rules are simple.
1) Create a t-shirt design that entices internet users to visit jonsmythe.com. See sample shirt design below:


2) If you have not read excerpts of jon.com on dA or visited the website, you are strongly encouraged to do so. Excerpts of jon.com can be found at *denlm. The website url is [link].

3) Your design can incorporate one of the following four slogans, or a slogan of your own creation:
- I’m looking for Jon.
- You’ve seen me naked.
- But, darling, that’s what we pay him for.
- 416 Hunter Street, if you dare.

4) Include the website’s address within the design. Variations on the slogan are permissible, such as “You’ve seen me naked… at www .jonsmythe .com.”

5) When planning your design, you can choose to use the slogan only, use the slogan in conjunction with available artwork from the website, or use a wholly original visual and/or slogan that promote the site.

6) Artwork that is available for your use includes:
- Jon’s eyes open or closed.
- Jon peering through the broken transom over the front door.
- The logo treatment featuring a blood splatter in place of the dot in jon.com.

7) To receive artwork in electronic format, send a written request via note to *denlm.

8) Submit your design on either a black or white background only. (See t-shirt sample above.)

9) Entries must be posted as a deviation on your dA page no later than midnight, Sunday, December 7, 2008, with a note to *denlm at the same time announcing that it is ready for judging.

10) A panel of independent judges will score each entry: Up to 20 points for creative use of artwork and/or font treatment, and up to 30 points for ability to attract people to the novel’s website.

11) The decision of the judges is final and will be announced no later than December 14, 2008. All prizes will be awarded.

12) The panel of judges will include Denlm, Mystery-of-Sorrow, Penfury and BeauEromantica.
