Who is "pixellorac"? Could you tell us something about you?
"My name is Carolina, I’m from Brazil and I’m 27 years old. I’m a digital communication student and I work in this area as well.
“Lorac” just means Carol inverted. When I’ve created this nickname (more or less 5 years ago), I haven’t heard about vexels and so I didn’t know how to call my arts… I just knew it wasn’t vector and I though it was more similar to pixel art than vector and I decided to use Pixel + Lorac!"

Why and when did you start appreciating art?
"I always loved all kind of arts and since I’ve got my first computer I love PhotoShop! Approximately 5 years ago, I begin to be interested about pixel art and I was looking for new things to learn using PhotoShop, then I begin to do drawings in this program over some pictures… I liked it more than I could imagine and I begin to use some different techniques and to learn more about this and to be addicted to it… Nowadays, I can’t imagine one day without doing, at least, a few part of a vexel… hehehe"

Do you look up to any artist in particular?
"More or less… When I begin to be interested about this, I didn’t find any vexels artists… But I found a fotolog (www.fotolog.com/pixelman - but I don’t know if he uses it anymore) which I really liked… It was from a Brazilian guy who used to do some pixel arts and in that time, I really would like to do things like him… I’ve tried a lot, but I didn’t get to do things like him and I began to like more detailed photos and I decided to do some more detailed vexels without using any artist as a reference… Nowadays, is much easier to find good vexels artists, but even though, I don’t use them as a reference because I prefer to do it in my own way, discovering the best techniques and creating some different ways to do my arts!"

How would you describe your art?
"Vexels almost realistic, I think! But for me, they are more than it. They are the things I most like doing. And I do each one with the same care and love and I have a hard work on everyone! For me, they are the result of care + love + a long time + hard work + diversion!"

What do you think differs your art from others?
"Maybe the way I do them… People don’t have much patience to use polygonal lasso to draw, but I use this wonderful tool to do everything, from the smallest part to the biggest one…"

What are you currently working on? What can we expect from you in future?
"It’s a hard question, because I’m always working on a lot of thins at the same time! hehehe I’m doing some very detailed vexels, but I’m a little without time, so they are taking a lot of time to be completed… I thing I’m very adhering to details each day and I’m feeling like vexelling photos each more detailed… And I think you can expect from me some more detailed vexels… hehehe"
