This story is for all residents of the United States (Or people who just actively protect gay rights) and it may come off as biased- but I mean no disrespect to the Christian religion, I personally feel it has been deeply wounded over the ages and this is one of many bigotry by-products from that perversion of it. I've seen dozens of dA artists come together to protest things like Scientology cults and even PETA's euthanasia of hundreds of animals- why not come together one more time for the American Gay population!?

Today/yesterday, 11/4/08 Proposition 8 was passed in California to ban gay marriage. That is blatant and sickening homophobia, complete and utter demolition of the constitution and peoples personal human rights! Everything this country is SUPPOSED to stand for has been raped in the ass (Irony MEANT) many times over and in so many states. I'm sickened, more-so by the fact their main tagline was ''we don't have to accept this''

A word to them:
YOU have tried to kill them, stop them, disgrace them, abandon them, CHANGE them, and now you're taking away their civil liberties: the one thing EVERY man and EVERY woman is GOD GIVEN, you're using it as a shield for homophobia. YOU have perverted the very truth of a once great religious system into what YOU want, throwing away all things YOU consider to be unclean- well you know what! LIVE BY YOUR OWN LAWS. You're the ones who are disgraceful, you are the ones unclean, you are the ones who need to be changed, you are the ones who will not be accepted into your 'kingdom' because of your bigotry, hiding behind the BOOK you raise onto a pedestal, one that's been re-written and revised by every generational society that got it's dirty hands on it. The faith changed with the time- I SAY IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER CHANGE. Acceptance and LOVE, the two truths Christ bestowed to his followers who have utterly destroyed or abandoned those ideas by their own hatreds and it makes me sick And to all those of TRUE faith who believe any man or woman despite their sexual orientation, the color of their skin, the way they speak, or the heritage of their families deserve admission into your heaven. Good on you

I am going to write that up- make it into a flier and post it around my city in a semi-silent protest to this abhorrent action (though I do not live in California) I'm truthfully hurt and deeply angered by this- sure it happened in a lot of states: what makes California so special? It's one of the biggest states and one of the most diverse. There's thousands of gay people who live in California that are going to be oppressed by this one proposition... I'm sure there are Christians who say they don't mind gay people, even think they're decent folk but "Are still going against god"- the only people they are going AGAINST are the homophobic re-writers of a once great tomb that through the centuries has been reduced to rubble.

I don't consider myself gay nor am I remotely Christian. But I am disgusted to my very soul and to my very core. I believe that Christ had in his heart a true path to enlightenment, made with unconditional love for all mankind and steadfast dedication to peace in the face of adversity and hate. Everything that I think he 'meant' to say has been perverted and disrupted by time, by people who call themselves faithful to him- and I will no longer stand by in the face of bigotry, hate and diversity. I can't in good conscious do it anymore, we have been quiet but our chance is now- right now to get LOUD.
To any and all artists who feel the same as I do( Especially to the gay artists of California... ) to protest- our generation has sat idle through a war, presidency of a complete moron and unfair rises in gas prices (and because of it- everything else!)
It is time- in the light of this new age where a black man can be president. To once and for all say no to the division of civil liberties according to race, gender, or orientation. Because it is wrong.
