Christmas Karaoke Competition (Win BIG!)
Personally, I LOVE Christmas. Whether you celebrate it for religious reasons, or just enjoy the company of your friends and family... or even if you just take any excuse for a drink... Christmas can be great. So with it coming up I thought I would set up a huge competition to get everyone rocking out Christmas style.

What comes to mind... karaoke! I love to sing, (I'm terrible at it, as you will soon find out!) but I just love it.

So I've set up a submission system so you can record yourself singing, send me the file - and on the 20th of December I'm going to DJ (yeah, you're going to hear my voice I'm afraid) and play all of your yummy submissions and let the crazy fiends of DeviantART vote for who they want to win.

To get you shy little flowers to join in there are HUGE prizes to be won - I have seen official DeviantART with smaller prizes . I have had a lot of help from my gorgeous DA friends in hooking you up with some major swag. Including tshirts - keyrings - prints galore - over 4 years worth of subscriptions and an adcast! An excellent Christmas bonus!

So cast aside your wallflower inhibitions and do something silly with your community.

This spans ALL communities within DA - and I really hope that a lot of you get involved.

As well as the huge prizes for the actual winners I will be giving subscriptions out to people who make extra special efforts to publicise the competition and the event on the 20th. Stamps, journal features, whatever - get creative. Theres no limit to the number of those special prizes I will give out.

How To Enter
(+) Record yourself singing your favourite song. You can even do it with friends! But the prizes will be divided between you if you win. If you don't have sound recorder (check under Accessories in your Start Menu) then you can download Goldwave for free here.

and the password: funtimes
to log in.

Then click Upload your media! (its at the top by the putfile logo) and select media.

Upload your file and put as the title
Your DeviantART name - Your song name by The original artists name.

Submit it to Music, Bands, Singing and click Upload media.

On the page that loads copy the URL. Its the FIRST URL it gives you - next to where it says URL (not BB or HTML, and not the links at the bottom which are just putfiles advertising).

NOTE: don't use the handy Copy button as we've noticed it doesn't work!
