Aim

For someone to get something nice and for all participants help save lives. Entries will be compiled into a book with all profits being given to Cancer Research UK.

Prize

A brand-new Xbox 360 Elite in time for Christmas!

Theme

The theme for this contest is Favourite Places. It could be your favourite place or one of your characters', I don't mind as long as it's relevant.

Rules

You may use whatever medium you are most comfortable with. The only exceptions being animations and literature.

You may submit a maximum of three entries.

If you are serious about wining and helping the charity then put in the effort.

For optimum quality, please make your entries 300dpi. I will not accept anything over 600dpi.

You must supply a link to this in your journal until the contest closes.

You must add this to your Favourite News.

By entering, you verify and allow the use of your work in an artbook, that will be sold with ALL profits going to Cancer Research UK.

I reserve the right to omit any entries I consider inappropriate from the book.

I reserve the right to omit any entries I believe to be lacking in effort from the book.

Judging

There will be five judges, none of which will be taking part in the competition.
Four of the judges will be given a category: digital, traditional, photography and other.
The four chosen entries will then be voted on by all five judges to decide the winner.

Q: Is this official?
A: No, it's just something I wanted to do.

Q: Will I lose all rights to my artwork?
A: No, you keep all your rights. By joining you simply state that your art may be sold with ALL profits going to charity.

Q: Will I be credited for my work?
A: Yes, with both your dA account URL and username appearing on your work's page.

Q: What is inappropriate?
A: Anything 18+ or anything that deviates from the set theme.

Q: How many Xbox 360 Elites will be awarded?
A: One.

Q: May I see a picture as proof?
A: I won't buy the console until I know where the person lives because of the different standards for appliances around the world.

Q: How will you be selling the artbook?
A: Through an online site called Lulu [link]

Q: What will the artbook be called?
A: I am still unsure, if you have any ideas of your own, please tell me.

Q: How many artbooks will be available?
A: When a book is bought, Lulu prints a copy, and sends it out.

Q: Does the entry need to be new?
A: It doesn't have to be, but I think everyone would prefer to see something fresh. Having said that, using an existing deviation wouldn't be considered a negative during judging.

Q: Are watermarks acceptable?
A: Obviously, I would prefer it without the watermark, but I'm prepared to accept your entry with it if it makes you feel more secure.

Q: May I add characters?
A: You may add characters to the scene, as long as they don't completely take it over.
