SCAVANGER HUNT!!

Okay, I'm going to try to keep this as organized as possible. So PLEASE read this all the way through...and PLEASE follow all the rules exactly. I've been pretty relaxed on the subject lines of notes, but for this I need you all follow the guidelines exactly! Thank you!!

Here's how it's going to work:

First and foremost, You MUST be a MEMBER!

There are going to be a total of 10 themes to shoot.

You will have until Jan 7th 2008, 12:00 AM US Central Time to complete all 10. (so for those of you that commented you may not have enough time...you have nearly 8 wks!)

I will post the first theme to "hunt" at the end of this journal. As you get the themes done, you will send a note and I will reply to you with the next theme.

Each note you send us should have in the subject line:
Scavenger Hunt: 'Name of Theme'
If you do not label your note as such, I will most likely ignore it.

Please keep in mind that this isn't JUST about taking random photos of things. The integrity of the photo matters. If you send in a lazy snapshot, it will be rejected and you will have ONE chance to resubmit. Whether or not it is accepted is at my discretion. I realize we are all at different photography levels, but even beginners have an idea of the basic elements that make a good photograph.

There will be certain things you could get recognized for, such as: First completely finished (again, taking snapshots will NOT help you finish first!), Most Creative, Overall Best Photograph in each Theme, Overall best set of photographs, etc. I haven't decided completely yet, but it will all get worked out as the photos come in.

I will created Collection Folders for each theme and will be doing features as we go along.

I highly doubt that we do any other contests during this time, so get involved!!

WARNING!!: Send in the work as soon as you get it done. Because I'm a pretty busy person and if I can't log on one day (Esp. around Christmas!) that will set you back as well. I apologize in advance for this and promise to do my best to log in once a day at the least. If for some reason I get way behind, I will of course extend the deadline!

If you don't think you'll be able to finish it...that's fine. You should still start and try!!

FIRST THEME: Hometown City/Landscape
This can be your neighborhood, your town, your home. Something that represents where you live or where you are from.

The note you send should have...
Subject Line: Scavenger Hunt: Hometown City/Landscape
Body: Your location (location of the photo) and obviously the thumbnail you are submitting.

For this particular theme, the photo must have been taken on September 1st or later. If you already have one then great, but of course I'd love to see current images!!
