Yes, I truly do wish that each child that I helped had written "love" on their arms instead of cutting.

This I can support. I'm sorry for the harsh things I said -- too many kids have been hurt through cutting.

If this helps someone be more empathetic and to try to extend themselves more to someone who needs to be listened to, then that is great.

I cannot tell you the amount of tears that I have cried in helping kids. They have lived with me under my own roof with my own kids.

The pain haunts me still, because there are so many that are still out there, unloved, uncared for.

If what it takes is for people to write love on their arms to get past themselves and to see what suffering others are going through, then let them do so.

I am skeptical that it will help -- but on the outside chance that it does, I hope that it will. I cannot be everywhere at once. If each person who writes love on their arms can extend themselves to someone else, maybe they can be somewhere at the right place at the right time and help there be one less cut on someone's arm and in someone's soul.

I'm about to turn mine in....sadly I know much more about this topic than i should bc of my high school yrs and how i handeld my depression....luckily instead of my parents being horrible and not trying to understand we were able to go to someone and get help....a lot of people don't know it , but there are groups you can go to for this and people who DO understand and will do anything to help.
