Autumn in ColoradoIt is said that the word "Colorado" is from the Arapaho Indians meaning "Land of the Colorful Skies", and those of us who live here, photograph, and breathe the high altitude air, are thankful everyday that we are able to live in one of America's most majestic and gorgeous states.
Colorado is such a varied place, and is unique to America in just that, from the rolling plains of the East, to the San Juan mountains to the southwest, to the desert mesa plateau's of the western slope, to the prairie desert to the south, to the rolling grasslands of the north, Colorado offers photographers a paradise unlike anywhere else.
Each year, hundreds of thousands of people, and many photographers, flock to Colorado to shoot the gorgeous colors of Autumn/Fall here. People from all over the world come from near and far to shoot the likes of Cottonwood Pass, Last Dollar Road, the San Juans, Rocky Mountain National Park, and the endless country mountain backroads, draped in the golden Aspen trees.
For this feature, I have scoured DA to find some of the best Autumn/Fall images that I could locate. I hope you all enjoy it! And if you ever by chance are in Colorado, be sure your camera's batteries are full charged!
Check out the works below, tell the photographers what ya think, leave them a comment, and let them know you support them!
