POETS: Wanna Win $300? Check Out Soundzine!

=salshep:iconsalshep: reports, November 18, 2008
Yes, 300 smackeroos (that's money, people. I could smack you instead, if you wanted, though) AND publication (in Soundzine) AND a gorgeous surrealist print from ~rudolfo's gallery.

That's some bountiful prizes, right there, eh? So what do you have to do to be in the running?

:sun: Enter ~Soundzine's TIME MACHINE POETRY CONTEST

The contest is simple: write a poem that you feel best evokes the feeling, sentiment or tonal impression of the photograph by Croatian photographer Damir Alter Matijevic, entitled “Time Machine.” (provided on the competition page).

Click the TIME MACHINE competition link above, and follow the instructions!

*Please be sure to read the conditions of entry carefully, to avoid the utter tragedy of our staff having to toss your entry in the wastebasket.

While you're there, check out Soundzine Issue #6. It's full of world-class art, literature and poetry and, of course, there's recordings to listen to, too!

Comp closes midnight, Greenwich Mean Time, January 15, 2009

So get writing, folks-- and good luck!

That's so worth this great big smile I have on, chica (are you trying to crack my face, or something?) =P

I am so damned proud of this zine-- and Charles, and all the other people who have worked on it, and who have cared for it when I was absent. They all deserve big shiny medals.

Thanks for mentioning that. :)
