Thanksgiving is around the corner!

Now, in the United States, it seems that first thoughts of Thanksgiving go to the food. I'll be the first to admit I can't wait for the turkey and mashed potatoes, and I'll be aiming for the large slice of pumpkin pie, too. However...

I think that we ought to address Thanksgiving itself, and what better way to do that than by, well, giving thanks?

Here's what I want!

I want people to send me notes on DA telling me what they are thankful for! It can be something simple, like being thankful for a sunny day, or it can be personal, like being thankful a loved one or family member is alive: so long as you're thankful for it, that's what counts!

But Batou, why would I do that?

First off, because it is good to be thankful for what we have, as often things get taken for granted. That is the spirit of the season, at least in my eyes.

Second, because it seems like we've always got reasons to be frowning from day to day. What better way to counter that than to do something that will bring a smile to the face?

Third, because I'm curious and want to know what makes you people thankful.

I still don't see why I'd bother doing this.

Then you need to lighten up.

Besides, there's more to it...

To show my thanks to the participants, I will be posting a news article with everyone's reasons to be thankful (with usernames removed, just to add to the fun of it), as well as giving away a few prizes to random participants.

Alright, here's what's up for grabs:

One 1 year subscription
Three 3 month subscriptions
Five 1 month subscriptions

I will give away at least that much. _{However, I reserve the right to add more prizes if I want to, and if people want to donate prizes, that's awesome also.}

And that makes a difference because...? Though it is in celebration of the American Thanksgiving, the point is to be thankful! And as such, EVERYONE is invited to take part, even if you're from the moon!

Simple! Just send a note to me with the title "Thanksgiving" or "Thanksgiving Project"! Just so long as it's clearly labeled as being for the project, it works for me!

The deadline for the project will be TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 25 at 9 PM GMT! (What time is that in my time zone?)

Also, I will be choosing the people to give prizes to based on which thanks brought the biggest smile to my face. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't take much to make me smile, but the more heartfelt, the better!

_{Oh, and please, people, don't send me incriminating things. If you tell me you're thankful for something that involves breaking the law, you will not be getting any prizes from me.}
