Square Enix: Developer Chat!

$Moonbeam13:iconMoonbeam13: reports, November 21, 2008

TWEWY Team Q&A!

With over 5,000 entries, Square Enix was thrilled with deviantART's community response to "The World Ends with You" Contest" -- making it one of our most successful contests to date! As a result, the ingenious folks at Square Enix, the people who brought you "The World Ends with You" and "Kingdom Hearts", would like to have a little chat.

This is an open call for all deviants to have "The World Ends with You" related questions answered by the team who produced the game. Submitted questions will be sent to the Square Enix game design team. The team will then answer select questions on camera at the end of the month!

About "The World Ends with You"

Set in Tokyo's trendy Shibuya district, the story begins with Neku, just another ordinary kid, waking up to find a text message that states that he must complete a series of missions or face "erasure". Now immersed in the "Reaper's Game" Neku must find badges that allow him to harness his natural abilities and powers to discover the truth behind the "Reaper's Game" before he is erased!

Finally, be sure to check out the entries submitted to our contest at Community Projects > Contests > 2000 > The World Ends with You.

Where to Submit

We are asking fans to submit questions (via our Members website) related to the game, which we will translate and send to the dev team

The dev team will answer selected questions on camera, which we will post on the official website (www.theworldendswithyou.com) by the end of the month.

I Don't Care About Your New Portfolios

=Commander-Luminaire:iconCommander-Luminaire: reports, 1d 23h ago
So today I've been getting fullscreen advertisements for the new portfolio feature. I'm aware of it, thank you, and I don't care. Why does deviantART feel the need to advertise it like this to subscribers? I pay to not have any form of advertisement, including ones from deviantART. I know there is a feature that notifies everyone of new features in their message centre, so why is it that you guys feel that fullpage advertisements are the best way to let us know? That's just more irritating than anything :|

The Public is more familiar with bad design than good design. It is, in effect, conditioned to prefer bad design, because that is what it lives with. The new becomes threatening, the old reassuring.

Yes. The article never said "live" chat.
A chat is questions and answers/call and response. That's what's going on. :)
