Traditional Representation - Vector Contest

^Ikue:iconIkue: reports, July 15
DaVinci, Picasso, Monet... these are all names I'm sure you've heard of before. They are the Masters of the art world and their talents are world renowned. But have you ever looked at their pieces and thought to yourself "I could do better" or "that would look awesome in a comic style"? Well here's your chance. How would you have painted DaVinci's Mona Lisa? Show me using only Vectors.

Razer is Back!

~zdan:iconzdan: reports, December 27, 2001
After months of doubt, total factory stopage and some rummors, Razer (the manufactures of the great Razer BoomSlang 2000) is back in action in association with Synergie Media Inc.

If you own a Razer BoomSlang 1000 or 2000 you know you got the best pro-gamer mouse in the world and you probably also know that Razer was about to close, but lighten up, its back!!!

For those who dont know the BoomSlang series, lets just say that the BoomSlang 2000 (that I proudly own and will probably never sell) has 2000dpi (a regular mouse is around 200 or 250), 6MIPS (millions of instructions per second) (regular mouse works around 1.5MIPS), USB or PS2 connection, its shape prevents some wrist damages, 5 totally customazible buttons + whell, etc.

Razer has made 8100 mouses to show their back and they are also working on the new XP drivers that will be available on the 11th January (beta version) on their site.

With the association with the small Synergie Media, Inc., Razer is now only distributed by them but I think that thats a small price to pay to get tech support, driver updates and, who knows, another Razer mouse.

Hmm... the boomslang was great back in the days, especially for FPS gaming, where mouse tracking was essential.

but now Microsoft and Logitech mice are getting better all the time, with higher polling frequencies and higher dpi (although not as high as a boomslang) while being optical.
