Macro Photography Contest : Nature 2008


We are very excited to announce to you a new macro photography contest. This contest is about macro in nature and is limited to true macro photography only. The definition of macro is capturing an image of a subject in life size ( 1:1 ) or larger than life size ( 2:1 , 3:1 , 4:1 , etc. ) on the recording media, whether that be film or digital sensor size.

Start date : December 1st 2008 12:01 am EST
End Date : January 10th 2009 11:59 pm EST

Contest Rules :

- Only Nature Photography entries are permitted ( film or digital )with minor adjustments (slight curves,levels, color adjustments etc. adding a border is allowed as well, but make sure the actual image without a border is min. 800 px at the
longest side).

- One entry per person only.

- The photo has to be taken and submitted during the year 2008.

- All entries must have exif data. People who are shooting film must include exif data in the description of the photo. In general we would appreciate a short description about what technique was used. This is not required but appreciated. (entries without exif data won't get accepted).

- The magnification ratio must be at least 1:1 (life size) and the subject size can be no larger then a full frame of 35 mm film - 24X36 mm.

- The minimum image size uploaded must be at least 800 px at the longest side.

- The photo you submit to this contest must be your own work.

- To submit your photo, send a note to *dalantech with the subject line "Macro in Nature 2008 " and include a link or a thumb to your image ( make sure your photo is located in Photography -> Macro -> Nature )
