Tell us a little bit about what you do for a living/hobbies.

Well what I like to do the most is make Native American craft reproductions. I.E., museum quality pieces that represent the tools, weapons, and art of the Native Americans.




What got you started in your specialty works?

I started out making some of the tools as a child because we used them in daily life, then as I grew up I found that many of the crafts were dying out because no one was practicing them anymore.


Do you have any links, or inspirations, you could share?

There are a few places that have some great tutorials for learning some of the old crafts. Here is one of the ones I send beginners to --> Noc Bay





What all areas are you capable of?

I work in many mediums from wood working, metal working, textile, ceramic, you name it I've used it. Lol.


Do you accept Custom requests, and do you take on Commissions?

I sometimes take commissions, but prefer to make things and let people choose from the items I have completed.


What's the funniest, or craziest, thing that's ever happened to you while creating?

While burning out the center of a large drum in the traditional manner by placing hot coals in the center then scraping away the charred wood, one tourist asked me, "Is that a REAL fire?"




How long have you been doing this?

From as far back as I can remember, for some of it.


Anything else you'd like to share about your artwork?

I try to teach others as often as possible so that we dont lose any more of the techniques for traditional crafts.


What Artist do you admire the most, and why?

One of my favorite Artisans right now is *EskimoScrybe.


Are there any tips and tricks you could share?

Just get out there and do whatever type of art you like, and never give up on it. You can't please everyone, so don't try, just do what makes you happy.
