One World One Art Tour: Strokes for Hope

~ume-boshi:iconume-boshi: reports, December 18
This is an international exhibit that will tour several countries and by shown in multiple galleries over a two-year period. The title, Strokes for Hope, refers to painting with compassion and a forward vision. It suggests that works submitted will reflect, on some level, that the artist is thinking about issues such as world peace, hunger and poverty that require positive social change. It is hoped that works will create some viewer awareness or stimulate public thought/action about these types of issues. Work may be abstract or realistic. There is no restriction on style. Creative approaches are encouraged!

Eligibility
Open to all artists world-wide. Artists are invited to submit up to three pieces for consideration. Works selected by jurors from submitted entries will be chosen on the basis of creative excellence and quality of execution. All works must be original and completed within the last four years. Deadline for submissions is January 20, 2010.

DigitalFlow.org - Phantom released!

~DIGITALFLOWorg:iconDIGITALFLOWorg: reports, December 1, 2008
DigitalFlow is proud to present their second Exhibition - Phantom.

Phantom, Origin Middle English (also in the sense [illusion, delusion] ): from Old French fantosme, based on Greek phantasma, has many many different meanings such as: Ghost, Apparition, Spirit, Specter, Wraith; Informal Spook; Literary Phantasm, Shade, Delusion, Figment of the imagination, Hallucination, Illusion, Chimera, Vision, Mirage.

We can surely say this theme was a tough one to work with, compared to our first exhibition, Inception.

Compared to Inception, our Artists found it quite challenging to come up with a concept or idea and develop it into something visual.

As a matter of fact, we weren't pretty sure we would have as much submissions as we have, during the mid point of the deadline.

Some of our Artists couldn't contribute at all to this pack, due to being extremely busy and dedicated at school. Some were out of inspiration and some were struggling a bit but at DigitalFlow, we are friendly people. We go with the flow, we joke, have a laugh and inspire each other (in our forums) so this pretty much encouraged our artists to not give up and I couldn't say how amazed and powerful this pack has turned out to be.

It's amazing and powerful with original works. Some pretty scary too :)

We would like to thank every artist who has supported and made this pack a success and brilliant.

We couldn't be here without your hard works, determination and enthusiasm.

Great thanks and credits also go to third parties, from which ,most of our Artists got stock images from. We really appreciate your stock and we thank you so very much.

From the DigitalFlow team, enjoy the pack and expect something bigger and awesome in the next coming pack! Don't miss out, by joining us in our forums or by making an Application.

Thank you and
Go with the Flow
