The DeviantART Translator Team
Introduction
Thus, I asked some people, what they think about a translator community, which helps to understand better everything here in the DeviantArt and the answers were positive.
I know, most of the people, who register here, have something Englsih knowledge, but I think such a community could ease to move on the dA.
How would it work?
So it will start as a club. After that, me and the partners are going to look for helpful people, who can speak at least 2 languages. There will be unlimited places reserved for the translators, so everyone could join, who is correspond to this little criteria.
If there are enough people, we make list, from where the user could choose a suitable translator. It would seem like this:
English - German
Avaiable translators
~BajuszGG | ~Ein-A7X-Engel-77 | ~shenanigan87
English - Swedish
Avaiable translators
~BajuszGG
Of course, it is just a sample, but the finished list would be similar too. Then the man looks for the suitable language then he choose somebody from the given language. The translator would be noticed by Note which contains the text or its link. If someone want to get a translation in other language, then he could choose two translators.
For example:
There is somebody, who want to get the Italian translation of a German text. Then he notes one translator from the italian list and one from the german list. Then the italian translator makes the english translation of the wanted text and when it finished, he forward it to the german translator, who finished the work, and he translate the text from english to german. But of course, there will be multilangual members, who would be able to translate the text without making the English translation.
What would this community offer?
A lots of help for every Deviant, who is not able to understand something fully. Then he come to us, and we solve his problem.
On the other hand, we could give free live teaching and linguistic resources, so if someone has a dream language, we help him/her to learn it.
What could the community translate?
Any kind of datas, which are found here on the dA. These are:
- Journals, comments
- FAQs
- Any parts of the Etiquette, the Terms of the Service, the Privacy and the Copyright Policy
- User interfaces
- Instructions
- Etc...
Why would this community be useful?
Becasue, I met a lots of users, who wanted to communicate in either of the languages, but they cann't. Or they often found a journal or a comment, but they cann't understand it, but it would be interesting.
And we could improve the recent language knowledge of the Deviants to be able to write much more constructive and meaningful comments, critiques and be able to write multi-langual journals.
Furthermore, there will be fewer misunderstandings by using the scanty language knowledge.
