In the few years of being an artist on DeviantART I have learned a lot. One of the recent things I've begun to notice is that the artist's favourite piece is often not favoured by the community. As an artist myself, it's often frustrating to really enjoy a project only to have it not receive the attention you feel it deserves. So I decided to ask the community via forum what their favorite piece in their gallery is.

A handful of people responded and told me why they enjoyed their particular piece. I find artist's comments are very important and often overlooked. That is where the artist can express thoughts on the creation of their art. Often I'll see a piece that is not so spectacular at first glance, but after hearing the story behind it, the art suddenly means so much more.

In the spirit of bringing to light the artist's favourites and giving you a brief glimpse of underlying personalities, here are the pieces I received.
